If you read this thread from Page 1...

We needed to get up to the latest version for security and performance reasons.

Heh, since the server move I've approved around 150 new members, so I can't see how we've lost members.

If you type in http://www.uk-polos.net you'll get here, just like before... Or just set a favourite or bookmark up to:

Code: Select all

http://www.uk-polos.net/index.php
I'm going to stick a new logo up on the top of the page which should make things look a bit cooler... I'm afraid I haven't been able to find a mod for the forum to allow links to open in a new window yet... I agree it's a bit s**t, but I'll sort it eventually.

I don't know about "unfinished", fair enough this is the default style of the forum software, but I don't think it's bad by any means.

Just noticed a moment ago a neat little feature that the upgrade has given us; when you are composing a reply and hit Submit, if someone else has submitted a post whilst you were composing yours, it gives you a warning and offers the chance to change or add to your reply if needs be, before clicking Submit again to post it 8)

Recently discovered something else when using links too....
If you click on the link using your mouse 'scroll wheel' (if you have a clickable scroll wheel), it opens the link up as a new tab/window to save you right-clicking and choosing the option.
Ickle time saver but a handy one!

I've always used that. Never used the simple click!

I just use a flashy browser that does more or less everything i ask it to - opens outside links in new tabs by default, in background etc :D although the middle click option is a new one to me, neat find...
