WOW that sounds awesome :) yer I thing I will look into getting some Philips BlueVision Headlights they do look good on your car I must say :)

Awesome, the dash conversion is one of my fav mods for the 6n, I think I saw a tutorial on clubpolo once.. have just looked for it again but can't find it! :) good luck with that though, takes a lot of balls lol! I wouldn't have a clue what I was doing, but the look of the 6n2 dash looks so much better IMO!! :)

Did you manage to find some headlamp bulbs in the end? I'd try to get some pictures with them on, but my camera is pretty poor without a flash and that kind of defeats the object of the photo!

Yeah i'm speaking to a guy on Club Polo at the moment with the dash, it's going to be a big job but i'm going to be well prepared thats for sure. Its only of those modifcations that you just have to go out and do, otherwise you'll end up never doing it! Eventually i'll get a 6n2 foglight switch and wire up a set of 6n fogs to the front, its just a case of £££ at the moment though.

Yer I did thanks, I got some off ebay with sidelights thrown in, I got the H4 bulbs so hopefully they will fit, can't wait until they come!!

As you are doing the dash are you going to get 6n2 door cards as well? I heard they are really tricky to wire up as the switch for the electric windows are in the door cards themselves :S

Can't wait to see your progress on the dash :)

Ahh cool, yeah I got some with the sidelights thrown in too. If I remember right they come in the box, so it was just a case of swapping them over, however I changed mine to Prism white LED's in the end.

Defo going to show progress on the dash, be interesting to see how it goes! I'll have to do the doorcards too yeah, as the current ones wont line up well with the dash I don't say, however i'll sell my GTi style ones in it now to make up for some of the costs. Wiring up the doorcard should be pretty easy, it'll just be a case of extending the current loom so that it can go through the door grommet and into the 6n2 style plug. The thing is, once i've got the dash, i've got to get the door cards and the mirrors, as the tweeters are located in the mirrors! So even more than people expect, but it should be good!

I think I am going to look into getting some 6n2 seats for the whole car :) because they just fit straight in :D

Always nice to get some new bits for your motor, i'm really looking forward to getting my Pressed Plates. Not got the dash yet but i've done a lot of research and got it almost fully documented, finally got a loom diagram so i'm going to go through it very soon and then when i've got the loom and dash I can do it pretty easy.

Cool seats, which ones are you looking to get? I got the CC recaro's in mine but it was a right faff changing the backs from a mk3 golf to the polo's. I really like the Mk5 GTi's seats but not sure I could go back from leather now :D

Yer I can't wait to get some alloys now, I really want either some 6n2 gti's like yours or some bbs solitudes! I really want some pressed plates as well but really don't know if the legal pressed plates will look any good! I haven't actually seen a picture of the legal pressed plates so have no idea how they will look to the look a like german show plates :D

I don't know.. I was thinking of getting some 6n2 one's but I really want some leather seats for my interior, preferably black one's like yours! Might just find an upholstery place and ask them to re-upholster the seats lol! :D

The BBS RXii's look really good I reckon, mine have a polished lip and the centres have been repowdercoated so they have a slightly different colour. When i've put a couple of hours into cleaning them up they look amazing, it just takes a while to get the lips back to mirror finish. The pressed plates should be with me this week, if not monday so i'll take some pictures to upload to this thread :)

Have you looked at Golf VR6 seats? Ideally i'd look at Mk3 golf Colour concepts in black (mine are the red combo), you can't beat the feeling of sitting down in a set of Recaro's, especially leather ones! You could probably retrim them yourself if you know how to use a sewing machine, however its probably best left to the professionals  I've started writing the comprehensive DIY guide to the Dash conversion, I was speaking to a friend of mine who reckons if I put enough content, details and photo's then I could probably sell it at a small fee. I've been looking at compiling more guides together and possibly selling them as a batch or hardcopys, its just a case of thinking of more stuff to write about (interior retrimming could work well, comprising of doorcards, roof headlining and door pillars) etc.

Yer I really want some! Just a case of finding some at the right price :) Yer I did look at some mk3 golf black leather seats! I am just contemplating whether to buy them or not at the moment, if you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for yours so I can get an idea of what I should be paying, bearing in mind, mine is a 3dr...

Ooo that sounds like a good idea! Your door card retrim tutorial was really good I have to say and I really understood it :D
Can't wait to see your dash conversion, I know someone on uk-polos did a dash conversion with an audi tt interior! Looked very nice :)

I think I paid £220 for my Mk3 Golf Colour Concept Recaro's, came from a red example so had the red seats. They are brilliant seats though and really keep you solid, but with much more support and comfort than the normal seats. They are out of a 3 door car, but with mine being a 5 door it just means I have the handles but I dont use them, they do come in useful though with big loads! I'd say get them, one of the top 3 best purchases on the car without a doubt

I've finally finished the final doorcard and glued down all of the lips on the edges so its all finished now. Also played with tarting up the center console bare switches, but not sure if I like them or not :? I've taken some pics, let me know guys what you think :)

After

Pic doesn't make them look very red, but look a couple of pages back and you will see the real colour

Looks good dude! I perhaps do a bit more of the dash to tie it in nicely, but don't go over board!

Well i've got a fair bit of that vinyl left see so i'm looking at places to put some hence those little blanks, suggestions on where else to put it? I'm going to do the 6n2 dash soon so don't really want to spend a load of time retrimming something that'll come out soon, I could probably sell a bit of it off though when its done.

Also ordered some Image to put my new pressed plates in which should be coming this week too, that'll clean up the front and rear of the grimy original dealer plates!
