Pip you know anythin about the PD130 turbos? ive got a PD130 turbo lying around from a vrs was gna put it in my mapped PD100, i heard that the only difference is the size of the turbo inlet pipe n intercooler pipe. the intercooler pipe would be easy to change if i used the vrs intercooler to. but im not too sure what id do for the inlet pipe?

tbh it's only a little bigger in surface area than the standard SMIC, but been on the front will be 100 times more efficient.
imho looks good too..

this is like the one im getting but mine is already made dfor the car but it coming from south africa
and surly you could put a charge cooler on the back pipe if you wanted cooler air or would that not work?

If your going to do that you might as well go fmic as the smic is about as much use as a chocolate fire guard.
i think the pd130 has bigger injectors too.. fancy selling the pd130 turbo you have? i need a spare as mine is gonna pop soon

charge coolers use liquid to cooler the air but i would guess need a fair amount of pumbing and and additional space for a rad/fan/tank. not too sure which would be more effiecient but the fmic would certainly be easier to install and require fewer bits.

for short sharp drag race charge as you can put crushed ice in the tank to get the same from an intercooler it has to be freezing cold air temp. but every day not much difference

I've seen guys with Scooby's and Skyline's spraying the intercoolers with a CO2 fire extinguisher too, that would do the trick

Saying that when i got in my car after work yesterday my data monitor was saying that the intake temp was -1 anywyas lol
