Brake disc size

Post by polospeed »

How do I find out my brake disc size?

I have a 1.4 16v and need both front and back disks and pads

Thanks in advance

256mm more than likely try measuring them either across the centre other than that go to vw with the chassis number and they will tell you

If your engine is 75PS - maybe a BBY engine, the front discs will be PR-1LQ which means 256mm X 22mm (vented) and the rear discs PR-1KD which means 232mm X 9mm (solid) - maybe get ATE discs from ECP fronts ATE p/n 422151 24.0122-0151.1 = ECP p/n 104 440 710, rears ATE p/n 409123 24.0109-0123.1 = ECP p/n 104 440 740 . As for pads, front, you should try to get Pagid T1163 (555 216/1) from GSF - stock ref 64330 with single wear sensor and anti-squeal fitted, for rears you should try to get Textar 2382301 (23823-172-1-5) from GSF - I don't know their stock ref number - with single wear sensor and anti-squeal fitted. These ATE, Pagid and Textar numbers should appear on the boxes of discs and pads that you are given.
