Now that these are in my garage, I can post some updated wheel specs!

Front: 7x15, ET35
Back: 8x15, ET20

I am fitting 185/45/15 to both pairs of wheels. I think the rear arches will definitely need rolling and possibly a teeny bit of a pull to accomadate extra width. The front arches will remain unchanged unless I get them rolled at the same time as the back ones.

My current G60 steels are 6x15, ET35 all round!

EDIT: just to add... 185s arrived today and went straight on the Borbets. Only a matter of time now :)

Hmmmf :(

Need to adjust my rear coilies a little as the nearside has dropped about 5mm in comparison to the offside. Popped the wheel off on each side and the coilies are stuck/seized  so they have now been cleaned up and liberally coated in WD40 ahead of another try tomorrow. This of course means the Borbets are not on, yet. Which sucks.

In the meantime, bought a 10" sub, box and wiring kit off a mate who removed it from his 6N before selling the car. Should all go straight in to my GTi with the minimum of fuss. The sub will be transplanted in to the custom sub box thats already in my boot. Its "only" a Mutant sub but will do the job for now.

Finally, looks like I will be in the car park at Ultimate Dubs as I am currently about 8th in the voting thread for my local forum's UD outside stand (Dubshire). Voting is open until the 28th of Feb so you never know, I might make it! I'm 2 votes behind a mk3 Golf with Vento front, and an atlas grey mk2 Golf on Ronal LS.

Bad news: coilovers seized and cannot be adjusted.

Good news: the Borbets are on!

Pictures to follow...

I've since gotten the first application of Megs tyre gel on but it needs a proper wash and some more tyre gel before I take any more photos.

Cheers Tim. The silver 'VW' badges are going back on today. Tempted to go back to crystal side repeaters but the amber ones tie in with the Jap rear lights :)

Looks really nice mate 8) ,i think the clear side repeaters would maybe look alittle cleaner though.Still it's nice to see something alittle different and the wheels look wicked.

Keep up the good work

Looks spot on Si. Bad crack about your coilovers mind.

Without any arch work, it will rub on the back if it goes any lower. I would like it a bit lower but the coilies are seized! Although, haven't tried applying heat to them yet...
