The R32 really are great cars, both the MK4 & MK5 so it all depends which car you prefer.

I have always loved the MK4 R32 and prefer the MK5 GTI over the R32 but its all personal choice.

It all depends what your budget is but I think either the MK4 or MK5 would be a great choice 8)

A year ago I'd say mark 4 anyday.

Getting a little bored of them now though.

So mark 5 gets my vote for sure! Minus the gay silver front grill.

Indeed, would have to do something about that grille. Mk5 R32 can be had for as little as £13500 for one of the 2006 cars. Tempting... but a Mk5 GTi is £4000 cheaper! Autocar reckoned the GTi is the better bet as it has better handling (lighter engine for starters). It won't sound like an R though :(

I'm in no rush so will take my time over things.

I totally agree they look mint, deffo the best colour for the MK5 GTI.

MK4 R32 in blue would be my other choice :)

Took the amber side repeaters and rear Jap lights off today, and replaced them with the originals (crystal clear repeaters and all-red rears)... might re-tint my foglights yellow again for funsies. Got lots of the tint film left over from last time, could probably do 3 more sets of foglights! Looks good but not as good as lamin-x.

Blimey, its been 6 months since I looked at this thread!

My choice of winter wheels for 2010/11 are now fitted, complete with lovely new Toyos. Here's a sneak peek:

The Borbets are up for sale, more on that later.

Not really my cup of tea but least they are serving a good purpose for the winter months.

Got anymore pics of them?

Cheers, no they're nothing amazing but they'll do the job for the next 6 months, and at least they're not G60 steels again (the steels look good but I've done them three times over now!). These are Seat Arosa Sport 15" alloys.

Plus, they were a bargain price at £82 on eBay including four part-worn S-Drive tyres! Seen a set go for three times the price on ClubLupo so thats where they'll end up next year if I sell them.

More pictures when the VW centre emblems arrive, they'll look a bit better then.
