New Radio

Got it Friday, brought it off a mate from work who sold it to me cheap. and got the BF to fit is as soon as he got home from work
Annoyingly had to change the ipod leads as the one already in the car didnt fit into the back of the new radio. so that was a load of fun
then realised that I didnt have an arial adapter and work had none in stock.

Image

Next day got the adapter and fitted everything in. the Autoglass guy who fixed my broken window (from when the sh*ts who broke my window and took my old radio) didnt connect the door speaker again. so quickly had to do that.

Image

I still prefer the look of my old radio (im super super picky about radios) but i like having bluetooth in the car.
and i got it at a good price so i cant complain.

Image

Feels soooo good to have sound in the car.
Ive been living off playing my Ipod on Lowd! lol

It looks good if you ask me :) not alot of them suit the Polo's interior but yours is pretty subtle so it work well

Your westie is gearing up for Halloween already then haha :)

Nice extras

Thats a good HU. I had that in My GTI before I upgraded to the double din, and currently use it in the mk3 - never let me down!

Dog's cute.. What's he / she called?

Like the HU but I dunno if it really ties in with the interior.... Pioneer FTW though.

cheers guys. im glad you like it, always good to have other peoples opinions.
And im glad your all loving Pioneer! My old unit was Pioneer and I really really loved it (well as much as you can love a head unit without being totally weird)
The lights dont quite go as well with the dash light colours as my old one did and i prefer the much simpler look of my old unit, but the more i play with it the more i love it :)
and i know it shall be faithful to me and hopefully (fingers crossed) never go wrong. My mate said it was always good to him and im glad alexperkins said his never has to

The dog is called Taedi, and hes my faithfull little 4 year old westie. He loves cars and specially loves the GTI its practically impossible to be doing anything with it without him wanting to curl up alseep on the passenger seat lol

lol im guessing you mean sad as in unhappy, and not sad as in the way my boyfriend means it
yeah he was a bit unhappy (but not cose of the costume i promise :) ) I was really late on taking him for a walk which is his favourite time of day.
I got distracted washing the car, then when the post arrived i couldnt help but dress him up. i used to dress him up loads as a puppy for photo competitions (his photo was even on CBBC a few years back lol!) but hes not interested in posing for photos anymore so i gave up quickly and took him out lol

Sad as in gay I guess it's hard to explain when I think about it lol.
Ummm for example when someone says something quite geeky
"I have a replica of the cross necklace that angel gave to Buffy in series One, episode one"
"mate you are so sad"

Headlight Protective Plastic Film

This arrived in the post the other day. have only just got around to putting it on today

Image

After getting the new headlights I really wanted to try and keep them stone chip free
so i got some Paint protective film. its mainly used to put over the front bumper and bonnet to stop paint getting stone chipped.
Its like a Phone screen protectors

Image
Before

Image
After

Im pretty happy with it. From afar you cant see it at all. When you get up close you can see the edges. I was hoping to tuck the edges around the sides of the lights but this proved to hard so I had to trim it down.

Image

And it doesnt at all effect the light beam which I was slightly worried about.

Image

Putting it on is fairly simple, but does need patients.
Clean the area you are going to apply the plastic,
you then squirt on the Liquid Mixture supplied in the pack (water and baby jonsons shampoo) (you put this into a squirty bottle yourself)
then peel the plastic off the backing sheet and place on area
using the little black material card you smooth out all the air bubbles.

You have to stretch the plastic a bit to get it to fit any curves and using a hairdryer helps massivly
(if you can get it off your dog ;) )

Image

Doing it on the lights was good as i turned the lights on which heated and stuck the one side, meaning when i pulled and heated the outer side with the hairdryer, it didnt slip around

Image

I still need to trim the edges with a sharp knife along where I stretched the corner and is now slightly to long.
Ill do this in a day or so tho, when its completly stuck on

You thought i was saying your dogs gay?!

I know what you mean.

Although if you do have a replica of the cross necklace that angel gave to Buffy in series One, episode one, then that is pretty gay!

Headlights look nice. :)
