Jeff's Revo'd stage 2 20vT with dyno apr vs revo

Post by Jeff GTi »

i have been a loyal customer at awesome gti in irlam for over 4 years now, having spent many ££££'s with them on performance and chassis modifications of my 2006 polo gti 1.8 20vt to date, today i joined the convert to revo amnesty and i cannot believe the difference

firstly the car is just so fueled with life and instant power response as soon as your foot touches the gas, it goes like an absolute b@stard, it's on revo stage 2 with the following mods

apr r1 diverter valve
milltek turbo back exhaust including milltek sports cat
jr filter
neuspeed power gasket
n75j valve
forge tip
forge front mounted intercooler conversion with all forge hoses

just for your info, the car ran on awesome gti's rolling road today and did a before and after, apr stage 2 software v's revo stage 2

the results are as follows

apr stage 2 = 227 bhp 280ft/lb torque, 212 bhp at the wheels

revo stage 2 = 233 bhp, 291 ft/lb torque, and 221 bhp at the wheels

im made up, the drive is so much more hardcore too, instant uncapped power, and from the graphs, its clear the gains run all the way through the rev band and not just at peak, its clear to see how the gains of 6 bhp and 11 ft/lb and maintained throughout, finally, not at one single point is the apr laeding the way

so far im made up, and although i have only ran the car for 11 miles since having it, im coinvinced it will be a happy relationship we will maintain and keep, well done

massive thanks for awesome gti and their time, doing back to back rolling road testing and providing me with graphs which i have forwarded to revo, jon at awesome was gutted, as he is running a hybrid k04 turbo on his 20vt mk4 ibiza and only has 8 ft/lb torques more and the setup cost his £2'500, quite a good afternoon all in all, pics of the polo gti in question and the graphs below

Good results mate :)

They do say though that the APR map is the smooth one and the Revo is the mad one. Both good in different ways but its always good to have a bit of rough.....

I have seen 3 polo gti' dynod and they are all the same on the standard k03s, could be the n75j maxing out the boost
