I'm *loving* the colour scheme - silver with tinted windows and rear lights from what I can make out. But can anyone tell me, what does the offset do to the look of the car?

thank you everyone for the response! i will leave it as it is.
the offset tells you how much the wheels stick out from the hub face. hope that explains it.b1ondie86 wrote:I'm *loving* the colour scheme - silver with tinted windows and rear lights from what I can make out. But can anyone tell me, what does the offset do to the look of the car?

HI mate, car looks really good. Where did you get your steering wheel from and how much did it cost you? I want the three-spoke too....I cant stand the 4spoke standard wheel...

Re: Beijing Polo's Progress thread ^happy chinese new year!
thanks mate, saw your car in the polo of the month and fell in love with it!alexperkins wrote:liking it alot. Very tidy mate
and thank you for that lovely comment, the wheels now are 17x7.5 et35 (205/40/17 tyre) and under full lock the inner tyre hits the arch lining. if i said it right. hits the plastic under the wheel arches. but i hear people running 8j wide wheels no problem. hope that helps you out mate.m4tty1 wrote:Nice car mate ! cheers for that JamieG172. the steering wheel was an ebay job. just stick to the polo parts and you'll be fine. your old airbag wont fit into the 3 spoke one, so the new one will cost quite a bit. but good luck! i learnt that you can fit any OEM VW steering wheel into your car as long as you got the right airbag, hope that might tempt you upon greener fields yonder..JamieG172 wrote:HI mate, car looks really good. and to everybody else, happy chinese new year!!! it falls on feb 3rd, and it shall be the year of the rabbit (1987, 1975, 1963, etc.)

Re: Beijing Polo's Progress thread ^updated
hello all,
small update, i had some puddle lights installed into the front doors.
there wasnt a visible imprint in the rear door cards so i left them as they were.
here some pics to show them in action.
the ppl who installed them did a good job, as each door light opens individually. they really light up the ground at night which is quite comforting stepping in/out the car. theres a guide but in chinese.. here
as much as i loved the CF wrapped mirrors, they were looking awful after getting blasted by the sun over here, so they have been removed. calling all CF wrappers! how on earth do mirrors get wrapped? get them off the car?
c&c welcome,
thanks forumees

Re: Beijing Polo's Progress thread ^updated
that would be great! did you use 2 pieces of film for each mirror?
couldn't get it to angle around the inner edges

will do you some instructions then! It is very easy to do if you have 2 people and a heat gun/hair dryer!
