Fitting air filter on 95' 6n

Post by willson1992 »

Just bought an K&N Induction kit which was labeled for use with a "1.0 8v mk4 polo 6n"

But i cannot seem to find where to fit it

On my old corsa it was simple enough, Just wondering if anyone has done it before?

or knows where they go

it's a cone Btw :)

Cheers

did you get a hose with it and clips?

if so ull need to remove the box nearest to ur windscreen should be a rectangle shape, thts where ur throttle body is and were you clip the hose if you got one... adjust the hose round back of engine heading towards the front of the bumper and hence put the cone there where it can get some nice cold air ;)

good luck... any more help just post up and ill try help... had my fair share of messing around with 6n's and some other similar VAG's =]

Ive got the same problem, but ive got a 1.3 on a N reg and cannot find a induction kit or high flow air filter ANYWHERE. Because of the age it might be the same as mine, someone told me it was a single point injection SPI, searching that i still cant find anything. I just drilled the airbox it sounds really good lol.

most induction kits will fit, its just a matter of finding the right connection hose, ie a 50mm hole (i think) to a 70mm, depending on size of filter entry size

so you shouldnt need to settle for just drilling air filter... and can imagine this would let on unwanted dirt etc if not properly done etc
