I had mine detailed last year because I thought it might help my paint defects but if anything it made them worse.
The paint came up really well.....as did the defects lol

Grey would be a nice choice Neil but the original colour still looks awesome too

I was tempted to have it re-done in silver but if i am going to be paying out that much money i think it would better doing it in a new colour, its like having a new car that way :D

Definately getting the polo resprayed, i am looking a nimbus grey perhaps. Your thoughts on that colour would be appreciated.

Also will be picking up a new interior for it on Sunday and also ordering a new head unit for it.

What do you all think to this stereo:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TD717-Double-2-Di ... 846wt_1134

Its cheap but i think thats because of the brand name but it looks the business and seems to do everything i want it to do.

Maybe looking into changing the steering wheel over to summat different as well.

Nice Update Neil :D

They really do suit the car, I bet the fronts offer a lot more driving comfort too in comparison to the standard seats.

Very difficultly

Had to make custom brackets for the rears as well as the fronts, the rears now have "Z" shaped latches at the top in order for the to lock in place which bolt into the original latch position on the car, was a lot of trial and error to get right but got there in the end :D

Cheers mate, they are a lot more comfortable than the original seats but then the originals were nearly 11 years old so hard to compare them fairly.
Its certainly different driving in them but in a good way, feels like the car has jumped into the future as its like sitting in a newer car :D

I've been dreaming of having my seats re-trimmed... at least the centres anyway where the 1's are with the Interlagos pattern.

It took about 18 hours in total to get them in over the duration of the weekend but yes, it was definitely worth the hard work and to be fair it didnt feel like 18 hours worth of work at the time
