The ball sockets are yes

You cannot buy the internal headlight parts seperately, so you will have to salvage it from a halogen headlamp

Just to be sure. Do you know the motor level behind the high beam bulb, which is removable. The bit that attaches to the end of the ball on the motor. Is the same in the standard halogen headlamp. I don't remember even seeing a motor in the standard headlamp. Soz I'm not understanding. Cheers for you help again mate. You know everything lol

Yes its identical

Some standard headlamps dont have motors...depends on the trim level and options specified from factory.

Hi. If I bought some brand new hella electric standard 6n2 headlights. Would I be able to transplant my xenon internals to the new headlamps with no modifications. Is it literally plug and play. As I have now split my Xenons completely down and was hoping to pretty much make brand new Xenons. What are the part number for the hella headlamps and where is best bet to get them from from new. Can't seem to get anywhere with google etc. Manythanks

On a side note if got the ballast and bracket re galvanised so it looks like new. Not rusty anymore lol

All you need is some new clear faces for the lights - dont go transferring the internals as they wont fit into the halogen housing. Its just the front clear plastic that you would change.

End of the day, its a bracket, it serves a purpose - what is the point lol! Its not like you inspect it on a daily basis lol

The black housing is completely different on xenons - totally different rear cover design

You can get repair kits for the brackets from VW
