This is awesome :) Perhaps taking OEM+ to a new level? (with the interior and these gadgety bits you mention ;-) )

Really love the respray... wish I had the time/money to get mine fully resprayed. Looks cool without the front plate too!

That is exactly my intentions, gonna search the net high and low for unique mods from newer models of VW.

The roof is gonna stay silver for now i think, i only covered it originally because the roof had gone patchy, at the moment i am loving the silverness everywhere.

I didnt attend All Types Neil but my mate went in his Type R of all things lol he was on the Seat Cupra.net stand.
He took loads of pics and I noticed your GTI in some of the pics, it was parked next to a 5 door 6N2 Valver :)

He added them on facebook so i'll tag you in the pics. Looked like it was a really good meet bar the weather :(
Yeah it was only down the road from me but I totally forgot it was on :(

That would be Jon, its actually a 1.4 TDI remapped, unfortunately he is more of a club polo fan so dont think he comes on here very often

We had a decent turn out, I have run my own VW club/website for nearly 4 years now and we had a club stand there, we got 20 cars on the stand which was pretty good being as the show was quite a distance for us all.

It was a great weekend despite the rain, i dont think i have drank so much for years :o

If you could tag me in those pictures that would be awesome mate, i always love looking at photos other people have taken.

Been a good week for the polo fuel wise, it has done 386 miles off one tank of fuel, was gonna try for the 400 which i think would have been easily achievable but had to fill up in case i get sent out anywhere. I dont like running the polo in the red but i reckon it would be good for 20 miles.

Image

About a hundred of these miles are normal heavy footed driving, the rest motorway miles (To the all types show in Wales and back)

Thats pretty good mate. I always recon about 300 miles on a full tank in mine, but you could say i like the induction note of the CDA a bit too much

This is only the second time i have had as many miles out of a single tank, the first time i did get 400 miles but that was running in the red for a good 20 miles.

I normally average just over 300 miles per tank but i too do have a heavy foot, i just love the noise from the exhaust since it has been de-catted.

Got hold of an audi S3 gear knob for the polo, looks much better in my opinion, i know its a 6 speed knob but still, its better than the worn original:

Heres the old one:

Would it be possible to get a few more detailed pics of your GTI gear knob please? I would buy it off of you if the leather isn't THAT worn
