My sodding rear caliper pistons wont wind in! I'm winding (clockwise) them whilst applying force and the gap just wont grow, so i cannot put my new pads in.
If that doesnt work, you can just disconnect the caliper. Then you just have to re-bleed it, but thats the worse case scenario. (and even then, its not THAT bad )
I don't think the calliper piston is threaded,therefore there is no need to screw,it just helps overcome the piston seal making it easier to push/pull...
correct, i think its the golfs etc have a thread so a caliper rewind tool is needed, these are just a solid piston if i remember correctly! but a G-Clamp has worked everytime on all of my polos
