hey there ... yeah the cost of insurance is pretty dear over here ... at the mo it costs me £1060 to insure the polo, in my own name 3rd party, fire and theft - and that was a good quote!! Being female and 21 helped but for first time drivers cost of insurance is ridiculous!

As if the Gov don't make enuff money from me!

Ahhh thats more than mine!

Mines now £900, and I've only been driving for 5months and Im still 17, on TPFT.

If only insurance was free, think of the endless posibilities! Hehe, I wouldn't be driving around a 1.0 Polo, perhaps a 1.6 GTi Polo... :)

But its not free and life goes on.

true! i'm off the R plates in August so really that wasn't a bad quote for me, for Northern Irish insurance standards anyway! hehe! Know guys who are 17 and paying upwards of £2000 for insurance!

Ah! The joys of being in a good postcode!

Mk4 1.3cl, fully comp. Any driver, unlimited mods (so long as no power increase), unlimited miles, all for £550 a year! And with no NCB, being 17 and having 3 points!

MWAHAHAHA!

Gonna screw me with my mk1 Golf GTi though! lighter car and more than double the horsepower! Can't wait!

Im guessing you know someone in an Insurance Company.

 I'm moving to Scotland then! If that's the price on a 1.3 Polo I'd be buying a Skyline or something!

ANd one guy who is an absolute genius at electronics. Gave me a free sony CD player, because someone gave it to him broken, he fixed it and gave it to me!
