Thanks for the comments everyone, I am loving the interior now, just want to change a few more bits and pieces like black roof lining and pillars, etc.

Anyone know the best way about doing this as I have never done it before ? Do you paint it or dye it ?

Alex, I am definitely going to look at moving the windscreen mounted aerial although the reception seems to have taken a nose dive over the last week and I am back to listening to the iPod so might even revert back to the standard aerial again and lose the stubby on the roof.

Got a new driviers side switch surround for my Birthday off a freind, only just got it though because it was on back order from VW.

The old one that was damaged:

The new one ready to be fitted:

It has been fitted now and the switches feel like brand new, dunno if its cause they are tight again ?

Also had a play around with my head unit and put this background on for now (might make my own picture for it when i get time):

The new one does indeed look a million times better, I will try and get a photo of it fitted later.

The switches also feel brand new, must be because they are so tight in the new switch surround :)

Havent been on here for a while, very limited to spending money on the polo at the moment as i have just booked a rather busy holiday in March (off to Orlando, then to Miami, then on a cruise around the Bahamas, then back to Miami and back to Orlando) and i need to save all my money for spending when we go as its only 5 months down the road.

Anyway, I havent quite forgotten about the polo, managed to get hold of a new chrome light switch really cheap from ebay thanks to Nigel for the ebay link
