one of your halo bulbs out bud? looking good still. just a question though why a pd160 turbo if youre going hybrid anyway? its like people who buy a 150 turbo to hybrid that, its technically the same apart from the compressor which is the part that ends up being changed anyway? or am i missing something in a big way  ? (i do often miss things haha)

The 150 ehaust manifold is a bit bigger I think giving lower egts. Can't say I can remember tho if this is 100% true.

yeah i noticed that actually but i have tried searching for the bulbs and how to replace them but havent had any luck at all was meaning to ask about this actually anyone know if u can get better bulbs and if there easy to change?

as for the turbo the 160 does have bigger parts there was a thread on here not long ago about the differences and anyway i wouldnt use mine because this is what it sounds like at the moment
http://www.uk-polos.net/view ... =8&t=53434
rather have piece of mind knowing the turbo was all good before making it a hybrid

got my upgraded engine mount ordered tonight and im trying to sort out my exhaust in the next few days

Dan it's all about the rolling road Amd for example said my car made nearer 150hp as standard when it's ment to be 130. Awesome gti said it had 220 when r tech said 180 so now on r tech mine reads 220 if awesome set the rollers up as they did before my car would read 260. What should be happening is ignore the power figures and explore the area under the graph. The bigger area the better. and it should drive nice too. I would like to see this when it's done.

Is it going to be the same setup as what mine was last month
Hybrid turbo
Exhaust with Decat (sports cat will clog up too quick otherwise)
Fmic
Air fluted
Egr delete

What mount u got?

JonnyBCK's GT Hybrid on route

Post by JonnyBCK »

Went for this one from awesome gti
http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/product.ph ... 2&xSec=250
Thinking of getting the allard egr delete kit now aswell since i could have the egr mapped out when it gets remapped
Not sure what u mean by air fluted?
Spec should be
Hybrid turbo
Full milltek exhaust and downpipe
Fmic
Pd160 intake and green cotton filter
Possible egr delete kit pipe

bulb wise i may be able to point you in the right direction, i replaced the passat ones with some white leds which look much better and match more with the 6000k hid kit, i'll find the thread if i can, think the bulbs are 286's i got the three way ones from ultraleds and blocked off the ones which point forward

advanced apology for the massive pics, the bulbs are 286, the led ones i used can be found here....
http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/ultimate-wid ... -1669.html

the top led i blanked off with some black vinyl otherwise you get dots in the ring which look a bit daft, when you take a bulb out you can see theyre painted at the end anyway for the same reason
Image

make sure they work as leds will only work one way of course
Image

and compared to the standard bulbs, crap pic as it was light outside and my headlights are also flyeyed
Image

how they look at night
Image

just bear in mind if you go for the same thing to take time locating the bulbs so the 2 leds face around the ring rather than at the sides of it, you'll get what i mean if you ever do it
