Re: Tim's Fabia vRS
I modded my Polo under parcel shelf shelf to fit the Fabia:
It's really useful for small items that would usually roll about the boot or clutter up the cabin.
Here's some pic from coil overs and bushes job:
Driver's side all out and gutted
Old strut
New cupra bush in console
Old V New
My mates ingenious wishbone removal tool
New bush in
Old V New
Oh yeh!
After discovering one split CV boot, and one back one during the job, I spent the next day under the car again.
Shafts out
Culprit one, split boot
Culprit two, **** boot.
New kits from Skoda.
And I always managed to faff something up:
Whilst fitting the new boot on the passenger side shaft, I split the end cap which protects the CV joint on the gearbox side, d'oh! all fixed now. And had camber and tracking done yesterday.
Was meant to go in for it's leather retrim today, but there was a delay with the delivery of the leather so that's put on hold for now

Re: Tim's Fabia vRS
It's skoda green, so same as calipers and badges.
Pretty much all of the door cards, there's a strip across the top of all doors that stays plastic, and the bottom of the front doors stays plastic also. They're not like the polo where they have a small coloured area.
No waiting time, gets done in a day! They spend a day prep before hand and spend the day fittin them when I arrive. They've done loads of Fabian so have the shape plans already.
How's your car coming along mate? I havent recieved any notifications of your thread updating, but that may have stopped working by now.

Few up to date pics:
Re: Tim's Fabia vRS
Looking good mate, hope you've been well?
The interior sounds pretty much identical to what I had done in my old Fabia, nappa leather, with double green quilted stitching and perforated centres
Think I've got a pic somewhere...
I guess that's from the Seat Surgeons??

My old interior, green looks a bit weird in the pic, but looked awesome in the flesh!

Hiya mate.
Yeh that's pretty much it! Always wondered who owned that car, Small world eh?!
Im having square quilts, not diamonds though (only a very subtle difference) an the vRS logo will be lower down in the OEM position.

Yeah it is a small world! I loved that interior, transformed the inside of the car, Paul at SS was awesome too, did me a right deal on the lot.Tim_GTi wrote:Hiya mate.

Will look lovely when it's done mate, just a bit of a trek up to York! I would check the day before you go as well, as the first time I went up there it wasn't ready and had to drive all the way back down and go back again!!
