Re: Beijing Polo's Progress thread (update soon)
hello all,
having been away from the car for a month i thought it needed some refreshing.
parts have been ordered and its in progress of fitting spraying smoothing, being clean and simple is my goal. and also to stay within the "local law".
will post more pics as i get them.

I like your grill.
I've got the gti and see many people with the debadged honey comb grill with the red strip there still.
How do you do this?
Or can you buy them?
Websites or links would be brill.

yes it could be painted, but its not very reversible. what some people have done is to re-use the original red strip, and to remove the clips and glue it onto the badgeless one with good results.Crippin wrote:Could get it painted?Simon90 wrote:Got any better suggestions?

Re: Beijing Polo's Progress thread (update coming soon)
a few updates!
i have reverted back to the oem bumper with colour coded front valance, oem headlights with the foglamps again. all with slatted grills and the badge has returned! the rear has its original red tail lights, blackened rear tow hook and the gti rear valance had its exhaust notch filled and smoothed.
my biggest worry was the lights as i used to run 55W 6000K HIDs, i didnt like the reflector HID so i chose a set of philips xtreme bulbs. it was money well spent as it gave more light output that i first imagined imo.
next step is to remove rear cup spoiler, and eyeing out some new wheels. loved to head suggestions!
excuse the dirt, its sandstorm season.
