As you can see above, the Match wheels look great powder coated gloss black. If I were you, I'd get them done rather than purchase a set of non-OEM alloys. For a decent job your looking at around £200 but well worth it IMHO

Re: First car!
well if you really cant afford it mate go for a set of steels
get them done in a gloss
roll on steelies mate cheap and cheerful
in my view i just cant get away with the standard looking 15in alloys, i have the moda ones and cant get away with them on bit, there coming off ASAP (this week)
but saying that everyone has they own view
and likes what they like, am only trying to help and give ya ideas mate

The picture is actually of the Moda trim but I think I'll be going with a gloss black respray when I have the money, oh and thanks for correcting me on the price, £200 is what I meantAJ_7 wrote:Match,

First car!
Plans:
• Plasti dip badges and upper grille (matt black)
• Plasti dip roof (matt black)
• hopefully getting new alloys - possibly VW ones as I have a £100 voucher on its way!
• possibly Plasti dip the alloys if they aren't black

Re: First car!
just make sure on the plasti dip roof you do nice even strokes of spray, check the plasti dip audi s4 re-spray on youtube
Re: First car!
yeah i've been watching lots of demos, shouldn't be a problem! do you reckon 2 400ml cans would do the roof and badges?jakovdub wrote:just make sure on the plasti dip roof you do nice even strokes of spray, check the plasti dip audi s4 re-spray on youtube
First car!
change of plans:
- Plastidipping still stands
- probably no alloys, too expensive right now. want to get the stock ones powdercoat gloss black but again too expensive (may have to just plastidip!)
- possibly lowering a bit. I can't go too low because about 70% of roads I drive on are rural and very bumpy.
Wish I had some cash lying round but i really don't
no progress at the moment!

pleased with it so far, very comfortable and even with a small engine it's quite quick! I've been learning to drive in a mini and I hate ittt509 wrote:how you likeing it
First car!
So I passed my driving test first time today, 3 minors, pretty pleased
feels good to get out driving on my own!
Just keeping the car as clean as possible for the moment, although there are a lot of wood pigeons leaving massive dumps all over my car
