Hi
I have been offered some corsa VXR seats cheap (Recaro CS). Can I buy Polo 9N subframe kit like this http://garry.motorsportworld.co.uk/fram ... 0Subframes
Will they bolt in bolt out?
Anyone advise which are best subframes to buy? (I dont want to start welding as I did that in last car)
Cheers

And have you planned how you will get around passing an MOT with an airbag light on?
Re: Seat swaping - Subframes
Yes! Resistor in the connector

Actually, 9N3 Turbo has his airbag connected with his recaro cs seats. -- http://www.uk-polos.net/view ... &start=150

Yeah, I've heard a few people suggest that, but surely, if you stuck a resistor in, wouldn't it just stay off? rather than coming on, then turning off?
Re: Seat swaping - Subframes
As long as its the same resistance as the airbag wiring it tricks the control unit into thinking its perfectly normal and ascts as it shouldLadiesman_317 wrote:Yeah, I've heard a few people suggest that, but surely, if you stuck a resistor in, wouldn't it just stay off? rather than coming on, then turning off?
Re: Seat swaping - Subframes
Cheers guys. I will just measure resistance of current seats and then put a resistor of same value in and all airbags (bar seat) will work as normal. Recaro even do the connect and resistor in a kit to make it easy. I have a pair in my TT with recaro pole positions and a recaro resistor connector.
