Re: Removing Intake Manifold 9n3
its not hard, just remove the plastic pipes connected/or in the way
then remove alan key bolts, should be around 14'ish im not sure but some are well awkward to get to
also remove the little goldish? pipe near it and egr valve has to come off

Re: Removing Intake Manifold 9n3
its pretty self explanatory, take all the pipes off going to it and remove all the bolts holding it to the head.

Re: Removing Intake Manifold 9n3
yeah as above...as you go along undoing bolts..you'll see what needs coming on and off
thats how i taught myself...first car i did was a new'ish golf tdi 170! lol
you just need to be careful you dont slip any of your alan keys in the bolts as they are quite soft and they can shear off which leaves then un-screwable.
But first remove the EGR valve and anything which comes in the way, then make your way to loosening the bolts off the manifold
doing my 1.4tdi on and off takes 25 mins!

Take off your backbox first, then your parcel shelf. This balances the weight out so it's easier to removeTony Boi 92 wrote:any particular order to anything?greypolo9n3 wrote:yeah as above...as you go along undoing bolts..you'll see what needs coming on and off
