Hahahahahahaha dont worry!!...depends on the offset and width of your wheels though
it shouldnt be a problem...you may hear a slight scrape here and there but nothing to cause any damage
I had 215 45 17's and my wheels are 7j ET41 ....that made a little scrape sound over big wallowy parts of the road and thats about it really
Now ive put 205/45/17's and it looks far better too!
Let me know your wheel width and offset
Oh god seriously. Even the tiniest bit of scraping is too much for me to bare I can't believe i've made such a balls up lol.

They're FOX MS006 alloys with 7.5j thingy!
Please post pictures when the wheels arrive! They are the ones I'm hoping to get for mine would love to see how they fit
Paid about £200 for the tyres alone and have ended up with the wrong size. Tears he trippin.
I'm desperately searching round the internet for a polo with the VW 30mm lowering springs , and 17 inch alloys with 215/40 tyres but it's IMPOSSIBLE!!! I'm gonna have sleepless nights all the way up until I get these springs fitted lol

Youll never find that becuase people usually put 205/40's on 17's with a polo...its a bloooody stupid small crack my rim size lol
As for being 'light as fook'. . . I nearly died carrying them from the hall! But i'm a pretty girly man lol so probably light to standard chaps.
215/40 tyres still absolutely pooping myself for when I get the 30mm front and back springs on and the front of the Polo already looks low to me (back is high but front looks like it could be touch and go). Searching online for someone with 17 alloys with my tyres and the Polo 30mm front back kit is IMPOSSIBLE. I think I may be the only one. . .and that leads me to believe they are compatible lol.
I popped out the centre cap and measured it and it appears to be 58mm wide.
All the Volkswagen ones on eBay are 55 or 60. Do you reckon the 60mm will do and that 58's are just called 60 or are centre caps all different connections? Are centre caps of non official alloys all the same connectors or do you reckon they are proprietary for each brand of wheel :S

The centre bore of an aftermarket wheel varies depending on the make. You might even need spigot rings as the bore on the hub is 57.1mm and your rim might be different..so i would recommend getting the correct spigot rings if needed.
As for the centre caps..it is very possible they are a different size from the vw ones, you just have to get a sticker over the current fox badges if needed
Oh thanks man :) will probs just keep the fox logo as it's pretty plain anyway and stickers might look cheap.
As for spigot rings . . .had no idea they existed until I opened the wheels. They came with 4 and it says sometimes they'll be need pedi and sometimes they won't. Very helpful!!!
I'll measure the inside of my alloy and see if it matches your measurement :)
