didnt rub THAT much only on wollowing bumps and hard bumps!
+it was only catching a little bit on the tyre

i was going to fit 195's but just got rid in the end (wish i hadnt but may buy some more!)

SO im gonna say your gonna be fine with that spec wheel & tyre

everyone + you needs to stop stressing so much about such a modest spec wheel & tyre

Especially when there are other people out there on coilovers with a more aggressive stance!

Yeah but you didn't 'rub that much' yet mine will be 5mm even lower at the front. Saying that I'm only 7.5 wide.

Just stressing out because i've never changed alloys lol

Hey... We'll I think all those numbers mean that your tyre would stick out more and be more prone to rubbing? That's good news for me I was just thinking about when turning the front wheel incase the tyre didn't clear the arch lol. Was just nervous that's all Sorry buddy if I annoyed you!

So I'm getting these fitted tomorrow and wanted to put my new wheels on tonight in preparation for VW.

Could I get my alloys off? Hell no! What a joke. All bolts out. Booted them as hard as I could. Kicked them. Did everything and they didn't budge. I could drive around forever with absolutely no bolts in the wheels keeping them on.

What am I meant to do if I get a puncture and pull over to the side of the road :as

So will explain to VW tomorrow and hopefully they put my new ones one instead of the current ones

I had this with my car, me and my dad took 20 mins whacking the wheel with a block of wood with a huge hammer.
Its basically the seal they put around wheel. Once its off, we put some copper grease on there, now when i want them off, they drop off just be staring at them

I thought it was the heat that generated between wheel and hub that bonded them together.
I had the same problem and only managed to get the wheel off by using a 4x4 length of wood and hitting the tyre from behind.
I was told to just undo the nuts slightly and then drive a few yards and this would free them but they weren't for budging.

I've since removed all the wheels on the family cars and put some copper grease round them. As like you say if you are stranded and have a puncture.

It's all about leverage...

I have experienced this many times. And with experience comes wisdom.

If you take a block of wood and hold it up against the inside of the wheel and reach under the car with a "normal" size hammer and wack the s**t out of it, chances are thai it will take a long time per wheel,

BUT if you instead switch out the hammer with a big 3 foot sledgehammer and just "gently" tap the wheel (still with the block of wood in between of course) it wil most times come of the first time.

So the saying isn't all wrong : If all else fails... Get a bigger hammer.

Haha how do you hold the wood in place while you swing a big hammer? Doesn't the wood vibrate and ruin your hand lol

I seen this before as well, when I had a puncture. Took it to a tyre place and the guy basically bashed the wheel at the top with the palm of his hand a few times as hard as he could and it come off. Took some beating but he got it off in the end lol. Wheel wasn't hurt but can't say the same for his hand..

Get at piece big enough so that it can stand against the wheel on it's own...

Oh! Good call.

Pick up the car at 4:30 and will ask what the Craic is and how you're meant to change for a puncture considering I can't exactly carry a sledgehammer and wood in the boot (especially in Belfast where I'd get done for terror crimes lol)

As above, a bit of copper grease on the center hub generally stops the wheel sticking. Thats generally where it holds as opposed to on the bolt mounts
