CENTRAL LOCKING

Hi,

This may be a daft question!!!

Just playing with the Polo 9N because previous owner has bodged sooo much!!

The passenger lock just fell out every time you unlocked the door, investigated and found that drivers and passengers locks had been switched because one was broken!!!! new parts fitted, switched back to correct side bingo!!

Now the daft question....should it be central locking with the key. There is an electrical connection to each lock module.... but no central locking

if IT IS cl and it is not working...where do I start looking for the reason it does not work??

What else would the electrical connection be for if not CL

Are there buttons by the driver's door handle? If so, then there should be central locking. If not, then you've got a basic E model, with no central locking. This isn't a 9n, but it's pretty much the same.

If car has central locking should the boot open once front doors are open the reason I ask is because I need to use my key in boot to open it even if my front doors are unlocked

Yes though you need to have the lock in the correct position for it to work as it has two positions

Whoops I posted that same reply in your other thread, the key can be taken out in two positions, maybe both slot vertical and horizontal.
