But in the UK there are many good things that we do not have in Spain.

How to install automatic lights on a Volkswagen Polo 6R with halogen headlights w/o st/stp system (OEM)
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2nv91 ... sp=sharing
I just want to remember that I decided not to provide technical support for this installation because there are many factors to consider.
My time is very limited, I have no time for everyone.
Again, I apologize for this.

You can. Precisely this guide is ideal for you. http://www.uk-polos.net/view ... 85#p463243
-To do this you have to buy a new 089, 090.
-You already have the light sensor.
-You also need a set of 9 cables for adaptation, and the full kit for automatic lights.

Yeah, Ok...but I think that buying a new BCM it's a bit expensive (over 100€, right?) plus all the wiring...etc
. Also, I'm not very good with cables, I'm a Plug&Play guy
. I'm saving money for a RNS unit, then...we'll see

That's a good one Ciclo..... the better the BCM, the more money we can "invest" on the car

No thanks, I think I'm going to stay with my basic BCM and mods plans, really appreciate the help and the ideas from this post

Re: ciclo's Polo. R-line 1.2 TSI 90hp 119gr.
This installation guide for automatic lights working with original parts in Polo 6R with halogen headlights is mainly to share with all those French, Germans, Italians, Belgians, Dutch, South Africans, New Zealanders, Mexicans, English people, etc... who contacted me via email asking a solution to have the automatic lights OEM with their factory light sensor.
There are many owners of polo 6R that have made many impressive modifications and many of them already having the right BCMs for this installation.
Of course, as usual, this installation guide is available to everyone. Will be updated permanently.
Remember that me don't have a polo 6R with halogen headlights, neither with start stop system.
Soon, a good French friend, probably will be the first in the world to have the automatic lights "OEM" in his polo 6R with halogen headlights without start stop system.

Re: ciclo's Polo. R-line 1.2 TSI 90hp 119gr.
Dear Ciclo,
I am from the Dutch Mypolo forum. Some of the guys have refered me to you. As it seems you have quite a lot of experiance in the field of fitting in OEM components in the 6r.
I have receintly bought myself a pair of OEM GTI Xenon Headlights for my Polo 6R Bluemotion from 2010. For the correct fitting I bought a pair of adapterharnesses from another forummember (A 14 pin to 10 pin, with an integrated diode, for High beam signaling at position 0).
However once I had installed the headlights I experienced some difficulties.
At position 0 of my headlight switch, the DRL Leds are on.
At positoin 1 (citylight) LEDs are on, but I get a headlight mallfunction light on my dashboard
At position 2 (low beams), with car switch to contact but motor off the xenon and leds are on, with headlight mallfunction light
At position 2 (low beams), with my motor on, the xenon is on for 5 seconds, then blinks few times and then it turns off! Even if I switch the light switch to 0 and back, the wont turn on again.
I have tested the headlights of somebody else, and the same problem occurs. We have also switched the adapterharness, with no result.
So I guess the problem must be in VCDS settings.
My car has a 88 B boardcomputer.
I have tried to turn off all mall function headlight options (vcds / 09 elect / byte 16) but still get the mall function light turn on.
I changed byte 18 from (61 to 41) but with no result.
Below you can find my VCDS scan:
Some info about the components;
Headlight (right): 6R941 040 D (productie datum 30/06/2014) / Valeo
Balast / Controller: 8KO.941.597 E / MH7 W003T22071 / H03/S0004 14530 (productie datum 30/05/2014) / Mitsubishi Electric
Controller: 6R0 937 088 B
Hopefully you can help me with finding the right settings for my BCM. PS the dutch forum threath where i am discussing this problem: http://forum.mypolo.nl/polo-v-6r/10548- ... ter-7.html

Hi Crave89,
With this specific new coding for your Polo 6R all lights should work fine with your xenon headlights retrofitted.
New coding: 24B02BBF08A10000002001B03E2B0CD0FF80672F7E861041200000000000
Easy, copy from here and paste in the indicated arrow.

Do it.
Byte 0: 24 or 3C depends on the forum where we look.
If you continue to have problems, they are not of coding.

Hello Ciclo,
I have the same setup on my crosspolo 6r everythin works fine exept my leds.
I have a issue whit my led drl on my oem xenon headlight.
When i turn my steering wheel the leds are blinking.
Sorry about my english!
Is there maybe in vcds a setup adaption of voltage for the leds?
I think the voltage is too much swinging as soon as I turn the steering (electronic).
What do u prefer to do?
Many many thanks!!!
Re: ciclo's Polo. R-line 1.2 TSI 90hp 119gr.
Ciclo I have to tell, you are a genieus! Thank you very very much. With these settings, I get no mallfunctions anymore and the xenon headlights are working as they should.!! This saves me a lot of worrying.ciclo wrote:Hi Crave89,

However, what I do get now is that the DRL light bulp which is in my bumper below (next to my fog light) is turned on during citylight and low beam light..
I have turned it of during position 0, by changing byte 23. However, the DRL light turns up in the other light settings.
Next to that it isn't pretty next to the white xenon and white leds, I believe it isn't allowed here in the Netherlands.
I have tried getting it of, by removing the TRL pin at the back of the light switch, but with no result.
Could you say this is a VCDS setting aswell? And is it possible to turn it of at all settings? Maybe by removing a fuse?

Really impressed about your skills and your upgrades
I expect my Blue GT arrives home next week. By the way, did you painted the black outer plastics from the bumpers? They look satin.
Cheers from Spain
