Thanks.bessos wrote:This looks really smart!! Loving the BBS especially in gold!!
They were original BBS silver back then. I went for BBS gold instead.
Re: From A 6R GTI To A 6C GT
A bit of an update for the GT, i had some 25/40 H&R lowering springs fitted yesterday, really happy with how it now sits and feels to drive! i was going to go with coilovers however i thought i would try the springs first. See below for the standard height and dropped height pics

And with the springs and 15mm spacers on the rear, and 5mm spacers on the front

I also decided to quickly try one of the Speedline turinis from the GTI on, i reckon the white on white will look good once i sort tyres!!

Those wheels looked smart on the gti, gave it a real purposeful look.
What's the spec on them? They'll look good on the 6c

Re: From A 6R GTI To A 6C GT
Thanks, they are 7j ET35 so sit pretty much perfect on the front and I will probably run them with 10mm spacers on the rear.saty wrote:Those wheels looked smart on the gti, gave it a real purposeful look.

That looks spot on. What spacers did you use and where did you get them? Did you also need longer wheel bolts?
Re: From A 6R GTI To A 6C GT
Thanks buddy, I used 15mm a side on the rear with bolts 10mm longer than standard no spacers on the front though

I think your car looks great. How does the ride feel with the lowering springs.
Re: From A 6R GTI To A 6C GT
Thank you!! It is much better feels much more planted and firm yet still comfortable even on long drives!George417 wrote:I think your car looks great. How does the ride feel with the lowering springs.

I take it you are running standard dampers on this set up.
It's good to know that it feels better. Where abouts did you get the springs from,
Cheers

Re: From A 6R GTI To A 6C GT
I got them from Awesome Gti I think they were around £135 delivered if I remember correct, and yes still running standard dampers!George417 wrote:I take it you are running standard dampers on this set up.
