Hi Robert

Same as the other guys, more pictures please in daylight and night time head on.

I always see these replicas advertised but never come across any pictures of them working online or on any forums... so this is a first

How do the LED DRLs work on them?

The LED's are good, not as bright as the genuine ones but good all the same. You do have to connect a single wire to the postive on the battery which I think is related. There's no other wiring required or adjustment required.

So another crazy saturday night for me taking pictures of my car in the dark.

So bare in mind the cars on a kerb, the rears been lowered and not the front, plus the front left is on a stand due to shock refit issue.....so the light patten is a bit funky.

They are not DRL's. They are only sidelights.

They're actually permanently on, so you could call them DRL's. Although my Polo uses the low beam as DRL's which I need to sort out.

Just worried that the light pattern is for LHD cars since you bought these from germany?

Im confused because i have a gti BCM on my tdi...so maybe replica headlights wont work? and i might need oem genuine headlights lol confuuuusedddddddd

The lights can be manually adjusted to adapted the pattern for LHD and RHD. Once I've sorted my front shocks I'll have a play and feedback.

If you have standard 6r Halogen lights then these are a straight swap.

From a previous thread, testing on my polo and with help from ciclo I found the below, it should work for you.

Pull out the light switch in the cabin, and at the back of it ;

1) Bend or insulate pin '3' = Disables low beam DRL function at switch position '0'
2) Bend or insulate pin '6' = Disables plate lights at switch position '0'
3) VAGCOM 'turn off parking/side lights at position 15' = Disables front & back parking/side lights at position '0'

Obviously you could try a combination of the above to get your lights working they way you want. I personally with your headlights would do step 1) so that your LEDs would be on all the time and act like true Volkswagen bi xenons, only thing is your rear reds would be on too.

Good news on the light adjustment front. The direction of the HID lens is easily adjustable so they can be adapted for LHD and RHD. You can obviously adjust the height of the beams, however you can't do this when the light is installed but the self levellling does work as it should, so adjustment should be minor.

I still haven't driven with them at night, so couldn't tell you how good they are.....they do look great though !

May I ask how exactly you adjusted the lights from LHD to RHD? I've email the ebay shop about the adjustment on the lights, they insist is only LHD!
I'm interested on these lights too, as I pick up My BlueGT today! Wanted the Xenon Lights options, but we needed the car asap so we taken one from the stock list which we waited 3 weeks as it was already on its way to uk.

Thanks
