Thank you for your answer.ciclo wrote:I think the first question to ask yourself is why the WRC does not have TPMS factory. I do not know.
At first it is not Plug & Play, however I think it is not hard to do because you only need to install the SET button and four cables on your WRC.
Three cables to the same points as the ESP button and a cable to ABS unit.
As in this diagram:
For coding I think it's a little more complicated, but we can try.
I think you have to do the basic settings of TPMS system into ABS unit. This is easy holding the SET button.
Also the system must be activated in the instrument cluster.
The problem is that on ABS units I have very little information and these have been updated several times for Polo 6R.
We can try, unless someone enlighten us and tell us that is not possible.
According Elsawin would be possible.
OK, so maybe it isn't so straightforward after all. I found some info on the TPMS for Golf mk6, and in that case TPMS can be activated with a single bit in VCDS in cars with MK60EC1 ABS controller:

According to that thread, never cars may also require a bit to be activated in the instrument cluster, as in the case for Skoda Yeti with the same ABS controller:

I don't know if the Polo has the same ABS controller though. And it is strange that the WRC didn't get TPMS from factory. Maybe it hasn't got supporting hardware. I will do an autoscan with a friend's VCDS soon. I'll try and check if I can find something useful, I'm not familiar with VCDS coding though.
