Hurrah phoned VW as the tracker completely denied having ever heard of my SLI number and my GTi is already being built. Apparently should be on a boat next week. I suspect it'll be the following week but could be a late February delivery at this rate. That'll beat my previous record of 75 days from ordering to delivery at this rate
What happens if you put lowering springs on a car that are rated to hold 929kg front axle but the polo gti is 960kg? [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY] would it just sit lower or would the spring die haha

The spring would tend towards the suspension tendencies of a solid block of metal i.e. no longer do its job of keeping the wheels in contact with the road properly...
Bought the ones that I posted up from eBay in this thread bought them off another member on here. After researching last night I see there are two types of 28977 springs 28977-1 which is up to 929kg and 28977-2 which is from 929kg or something. So they're the ones with front axle weight of up to 929kg which is a bummer because they were a steal at the price

Probably will still be the same h&r ones but I'll get them from awesome gti and get the correct ones for the weight lol. Any others that people know of? Eibach?
