Hurrah phoned VW as the tracker completely denied having ever heard of my SLI number and my GTi is already being built. Apparently should be on a boat next week. I suspect it'll be the following week but could be a late February delivery at this rate. That'll beat my previous record of 75 days from ordering to delivery at this rate :)

What happens if you put lowering springs on a car that are rated to hold 929kg front axle but the polo gti is 960kg? [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY] would it just sit lower or would the spring die haha

It would sit lower but would raise safety concerns too as its past its rating for constant use

Plus, it would probably invalidate your insurance.

The spring would tend towards the suspension tendencies of a solid block of metal i.e. no longer do its job of keeping the wheels in contact with the road properly...

Bought the ones that I posted up from eBay in this thread bought them off another member on here. After researching last night I see there are two types of 28977 springs 28977-1 which is up to 929kg and 28977-2 which is from 929kg or something. So they're the ones with front axle weight of up to 929kg which is a bummer because they were a steal at the price :(

He bought them from a member..

To be fair - I don't think you'll have any trouble selling them on
