Parkers , stupid name but better ride, easier to clean and the grip difference will only be noticed on a track, if at all. It is just the looks you are paying for and I may be in a minority but quite like the Parkers. Grab the car now
In the Danish Market, the 17s are not called Parkers, they are instead called "Milton Keynes"
I personally like the 17s and specced them on my car, and with 20k Miles of commuting to do each year, felt the ride would be more compliant on 17s over 18s.

Not an accident involving a car transporter?
A fridge truck had a blowout causing it to crash into a bridge, the driver survived but the bridge will have to be demolished as there’s a massive crack in one of the beams. That section on motorway is going to be closed for some time
That was just a tongue in cheek comment by me as a wind up, so a fridge truck that is a bummer as some where has lost its perishable foods delivery.
Just checked my GTi+ at the dealers with the 17 inch Parker’s on and it does indeed have the primacy 3’s on so quite happy with that. They also seem to give a good amount of rim protection as well.

Have they removed the snakes, spiders and Somali refugees from the boot yet. Mine just going in to prep . Probably tomorrow now
Some of these thoughts passed through my mind when I knew that my wife's Polo was coming in from SA, maybe the beasties have been sleeping - and will have now been wakened up by this "SA" type of weather?

As alloy options go, Brescias are quite cheap (compared to 19" Pretorias) and can be had via a German website selling genuine VW parts

Do you have a link to this German website?
Bear in mind that the bolt pattern (PCD) of the wheels fitted to the Polo is 5x100, which is different to the majority of other current VW cars. Most VW’s have wheels with a PCD of 5x112 (the up! and Touareg are different; their wheels have a PCD of 4x100 and 5x130 respectively). This does mean that you see fewer genuine VW alloy wheels for sale that will fit the Polo than you do for, say, the Golf.
This might be the German website that monkeyhanger was referring to;
They specialise in Mercedes (incl AMG) / Smart (incl Brabus) and VAG branded items. They do have Brescia alloys for sale (€1,299 /approx £1,154 for a set of 4), but they’re 19” for the Golf with a 5x112 bolt pattern. They have only three sets of alloys for the (previous generation) Polo, which also has a PCD of 5x100.
Just been down to the dealers to have a chat and look at mine. Needs a good clean but very happy with the car AND the Parkers. I will try and post a pic. Getting it Monday afternoon

Looks great Barry. I think the Parkers look fine - IMO they suit the Polo GTI much better than the Golf GTI.
Dealer let me take the handbooks. Car one is ok but the multimedia has me a bit baffled so far, especially re Carnet. He is pushing for a full refund of the winter pack cost as a gesture of goodwill!! I am not sure VW know what that is, but the dealer has been great. He did me a video so I will try and put it on here

I’m not sure VW know what the winter pack is either, based on the difference between the description in the price list and what they fit into cars when they’re built!
Hi all been reading all these posts over the last few months and thought it was about time I joined.so my story is ordered a polo gti+ with brescia and deep black pearl paint back in feb and still not had a bloody build date yet.my current car is a 2014 polo blue gt face lift version which now requires mot service tyres brake pads etc and can't get the dealer to honor the cost.getting really pissed off with the wait now.told my dealers about hearing people who have taken delivery and salesman reckons there's none in London yet which I don't believe for one second.anyone thanks for reading.great forum by the way
