Re: My polo 6r bifuel
Hi, i finally replaced both filters. Bigger One a bit dirt, the smaller looks new! I Will post a picture later.
I recently had an issue with an ignition coil and replaced It (my car has 75k kms and i have Never replaced them). I am curious to ask if You would replaced Only One or all of them together even if others still work.
Cheers
Francesco

Re: My polo 6r bifuel
It is not uncommon that if one ignition coil fails, the other ones will follow soon.
But if you feel like taking a chance, you could start with replacing one.

Re: My polo 6r bifuel
Yes, i heard about that. My question is if mixing new and old ignition coils could make motor run less efficently or maybe even damage It in long time since One coil has to compensate the others wich work at 60-70% of Power for example.

no unless you have misfires, the coils should be fine

Re: My polo 6r bifuel
Sorry for stupid question guys: where the filter air (below passenger seat) should point: gears or outside?
My arrow points outside but online i saw videos where it points gear..
No info about it on elsawin (thats crazy)..
UPDATE
If may help anyone in future arrow points gear.

Re: My polo 6r bifuel
Hello guys, I have tried to upgrade my BCM to 7E0 but I encurred some big problems.
Remote controllers looked pair corretcly because I am able to open and close the car.
After I switch on the car I am no longer able to switch It off (motor still running and instrument cluster is on even with key removed).
Even If I insert the key and turn it to switch on the instrument cluster only (not the motor) when I remove the key the instrument cluster stays on and BOTH REMOTE CONTROLLERS does no longer works.
I have to reattach the battery and only then BOTH remote controllers start to work again.
Please can anyone help me? Thanks

I suppose this will solve some errors in your BCM
- LED license plate lights (if fitted) for byte 27--> 00 becomes 01
- Anti theft system errors (if not fitted), 06 and 92 become 00 for byte 6 and 8.
I'm not sure if it fixes your errors. It would be interesting to see what errors exist in your engine control module.
Did you deactive factory mode of the BCM? (channel 99 of the adaptations set from 1 to 0)

Re: My polo 6r bifuel
Thanks for reply iichel
I changed byte 27 for plate light to 0; anti theft gave error due to the fact I forgot to re-place the fuse wich I removed before installation.
Yes factory mode was disabled.
Car has strange behaviour, please look at the video.

Re: My polo 6r bifuel
The problem is that you must explain with precision each and every one of the wires that you have installed. Also all the new equipment (types of headlights, other lights, etc), and I mean how you have installed them, I do not mean how you see them in the diagram or installation guide.
It is absolutely clear that the problem is in the wires installation.
It would have been easier to help you with this problem (it's not big) if I had manufactured your wiring looms. I deeply regret not having had time to manufacture them when you requested them.

Re: My polo 6r bifuel
Hi Ciclo, I really appreciate the fact that you take care of my issues and I will never thank you enough for the time you dedicate me.
I understand you did not have time to prepare wirings for me so do not worry about it because your support is just as precious.
After reading some discussions here on forum and making some tests I could solve majors problems; you can please tell me If I did it correctly or not.
I read in a thread by federicodrdpro (about installing 7E0 BCM) that you said him to isolate T17/6 and T17/7; I first tried to isolate them both and then I found It was enought to isolate T17/6 only to make engine and instrument cluster switch on/off correctly so i reconnected T17/7 and kept T17/6 isolated.
At this point I had to solve problem that some buttoms lights were still off with headlights on; I read in the same topic above about to enable byte 27 bit 1 and after doing that all buttoms lighted up correctly.
As I said I do not know If that was the best way to solve the problems so I ask you if I did it correctly.
An autoscan still show an error about alarm horn and some times (totally casually) broken light bulb icon light on even If all lights works correctly (I use oem alogen lght bulbs).
Thank you

I read in a thread by federicodrdpro (about installing 7E0 BCM) that you said him to isolate T17/6 and T17/7; I first tried to isolate them both and then I found It was enought to isolate T17/6 only to make engine and instrument cluster switch on/off correctly so i reconnected T17/7 and kept T17/16 isolated.
This is absolutely wrong.
First thing, you can't take another 6R as an example because both 6R probably don't have the same electrical configuration. (i have not checked the thread of federicodrdpro)
In any case:
T17/6, T17/7 must be isolated.
T17/16 must be connected to T73b/7.
I need you upload the images again from your T17 light switch connector to see the colors of the original wires.
(it is no longer possible to view the images where you uploaded them)

Re: My polo 6r bifuel
Thank you ciclo for explaining me that.
Sorry in previous post I wrote T17/16 instead of T17/6.
I post below the pictures of light switch connector, please do not look automatic light box (I definitelly removed It prior to install bcm) and t17/3 was disconnected because to disable headlight in 0 position.
That's federico's thread to witch I am refering to.

These are the other pictures of my fusebox and dimmer of my first original post (if needed).

About faulty light warning I noticed It appear only when I insert reverse gear.
This may help to solve the problem. Thank you

Re: My polo 6r bifuel
Update
I have insulated both T17/6 and T17/7 from light switch and car has been working good since 4th september.
I could not figure out light bulb error so I iichel helped me to disable rear bulb light check; looking forward to find out the problem (maybe need to code something about lamp check?! -> lamp is good and contacts had been cleaned! ).
Anyway more works are coming..
PS please ciclo let me know what you think about wirings and rear bulb error when you can, thanks!

Hello Franciswhat.
I apologize you for my delay in answer in your thread.
Currently I don't know exactly what you want me to comment on. (temporarily I have my mind lost in other worlds/things )
Please tell me what's the current status of your 6R (Current Autoscan).
