I absolutelly have to get side skirts because looking at the picture below I saw r-line bumper is much lower than standard one!

In my case, just when I started my tests for High Beam Assist retrofit in our Golf (there were some complications to overcome) began two weeks of persistent fog in the area where I live, making it impossible to get good results.

Hello ciclo and other Polo's fan.

I apologize for the long time without updates.

I recently had some free time to spend on my car and I can tell you about that.

First of all I purchased a new MFSW of a 6C (R-Line) and I mounted It.
Thanks to ciclo who supported me with BCM upgrade I just had to "plug and play" the new steering wheel to make It work like a charm (buttoms lights/functions and horn).





Secondly I replaced gear shifter and the handbrake cover with a 6C one (R-Line I am not sure about that) which I purchased sometime ago used from ebay.
They have some minor signs but they looks much better than previous one. I apologize I do not have a picture on the car but I will add It later.



In the end I replaced battery of my alarm horn; my hope was to solve the autoscan error.
Unfortunatelly, even If I replaced both internal batteries with new one, error remains. Ok It was a try since batteries were less expensive than a new horn.

Since Ross-Tech suggest that this error could be possibly caused by:

Fuse(s) faulty --> NO
Wiring and/or Connector(s) from/to Alarm Horn (H12) faulty --> MAYBE (I can check wirings prior to change the horn, maybe I am lucky)*
Alarm Horn (H12) faulty --> MAYBE, but batteries are brand new so the issue is somewhere else.

*The fact that leave me surprised is that alarm horn seems works correctly.

Hi ciclo, thank you for your question.

At the moment I have only tried to replace alarm battery soldering a new one but the fault on autoscan remain. Anyway an alarm test show It works correcly so I have no Idea what abou the issue is. Maybe I have just to replace it as you suggested my.

Recently (since winter started) I am also facing with an other problem: sometime car engine does not start at the first attempt (It does not start or If It start sometime engine is like suffocated and goes off). I thought It was an electrical problem so I replaced battery and checked the alternator but It looks good). Now I am thinking It's a problem with fuel. Maybe I have to replace filter? My car is petrol with 85.000 km. Any suggestions mate?

Hi guys, today I had motor light on on instrument cluster but VCDS tell me engine cannot be reached.
The engine is running of course and all other connections works correctly.

Any suggestions?

Update

Guys I found way to "solve" the problem: when open Engine menu I can read and clear errors.
Still do not know why autoscan always give me error "unable to reach the engine"...

A question for you expert guys:

I got r line skirts today (used) and I noticed clips are not very rigid.. I mean I can flex them with my hand.
I am not sayng they are detaching but is that normal anyway? I expected them to be very firm with the skirt.

Looks so, thanks mate. I will try to reinforce those clips from the inside. I see a side of the skirt is attached to the car by double side tape. I did not expected.

Hi guys, I started studying the wiring for retrofitting oem xenon headlights on my Polo 6R.

I would not like to spend 50 euros for car system, kufatek or similar 10 to 14 pin adaptor so I am studying how can I make the adaptor by myself.

The adaptor is like this:



I modified this picture according to the way I think the adaptor should be, please help me to check if it's correct! Thanks

What about the adaptor wiring diagram for the polo 6R non bluemotion? Is it the same of bluemotion one you posted?
