Rear seats
Anyone know how to remove the rear seats? My dog chewed through a rather expensive seatbelt. Cant find a bolt anywhere

It may be better to make a turn at the dealer and ask one of the tech.. sorry, associates, to assist you. Remember to take lots of photos.

Re: Rear seats
I think that there's a big disposable clip holding the rear bench down. You have to give the bench base a big pull, snapping the clip (or clips) which you'll replace when you refit the bench. Not 100% sure, but that's how the Golf's rear bench is secured. Someone here has all the VW tech manual stuff downloaded - I think it's dark-cze. Might be worth asking.

Cheers guys. I got then without breaking any clips. Being a mechanic helps (proper tools) the rear seats are a pain. Pretty much all the rear trim. All thr isofix slots out. And then they literally yank vertically out.
Ps VW wanted more to fit said belt than the belt cost. £170 for the belt £180 to fit.

Re: Rear seats
That's strange, these seat anchors are designed to be a "use once" part, from what I've seen on any cars that I lifted the rear seat base up in, the anchors gave way in a slightly destructive non reversible way - new ones cost pennies - which was a shock.zach.lambert wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 10:44 pm Cheers guys. I've just looked up the parts listing for a 2019MY Polo and it is the usual 2 anchors, which get called "grommets" that secure the seat base.

Labrador. He took about 20 seconds to get through it. First time he touched it too. Someone is now going in the boot

The seat anchors did not break and went back in fine. Seats are as secure as ever.

Or put a muzzle on while in the car - plenty to chew on in the boot too!zach.lambert wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2019 10:08 am Labrador. He took about 20 seconds to get through it. First time he touched it too. Someone is now going in the boot

Only a puppy, I dont agree with muzzling him at all. I've got boot protectors and mist of the time he isn't travelling in my car.

Re: Rear seats
quite useful photos for doing some more soundproofing. I find that most of the noise comes from the back of the car being a cheaper hatchback. The boot area is usually lightly soundproofed
