Power Problems

Post by Caron »

Hi All,

Strange one this I think. Car has been running fine. This week-end I put a set of new headlights on it. Just driven now and she doesnt start aswell, lack of power on hills. Engine Management light is on and seems to 'judder' when I turn off the ignition.

Could I have disturbed anything when removing the front bumper etc? Or is it total coincidence?

Thanks for any help.

You need to check for any codes.

Not much to disturb if you've carefully removed and replaced only the front bumper and headlights.

The only thing I seemed may have disturbed is the Air Intake Temperature Sensor, that was attached to the bumper. If this is faulty would that cause these problems?

Thanks

I think that that air temperature probe only supplies the AC system, and obviously the temperature readout for the outside temperature.

Got some codes now.

Main one I think is P0243 VAG : Turbo Wastegate Solenoid 1

Thats what i felt like when driving it, no Turbo kicking in.
