fog and cornering light retrofit

My polo 6r doesn’t have fog lights. I don’t miss them that much but I really would like cornering lights. And if there is an extra benefit that I have fog lights as well that would be great
I have a 87 BCM with 'since yesterdag' a working Cruisecontrol Retrofit!!! thanks to u guys! (and a friend) The 87 BCM does support cornering lights, i hope?

I found some ‘not to expensive’ 2nd hand fog lights with plastic covers. Model 1. So fog, cornering and DRL.
I don’t really care about DRL. But is the wiring loom and the fog lights all that I need?
What else do I need if I (maybe in the future, or at the same time) want to get DRL also working?

I like to use this light switch for automated lights. Is that going to work in combination with fog/cornering lights?

Does someone have a wireling diagram that i can use in my situation?

I dont know for sure. How can i check this? Does it show in a VCDS output?

I don't have a recent output but this was when i changed my BCM to an 87

I always post questions on multiple fora and base my opinions on that. Everything i learn here i can share on other forums and visa versa.

Of course your help is greatly apriciated. But my german is not that great and i was looking for an wiring diagram.

Thanks to iichel and ciclo i manged to install cruisecontrol and im verry thankful for that.

Just send him to erwin for the wiring diagram. it only costs a couple of euros and it's the most recent version you can find.
Don't spend too much energy and time on people that just ask without introduction or addition to the forum.

He send a wiring manual from kufatec that is in english. So im sure that will be fine.

Well i installed the fog/cornering lights last saturday. Everything went well but the automatic light switch I got from aliexpress does not seem to work well.

I looks like the cornering lights do work however so I'm happy with that.

Can someone tell what VCDS coding needs to be done to enable fog lights ? When I turn on the front fog switch no light turns on on the dashboard. While there is a dashboard light when I turn on the rear foglight. So that makes me think I missed something in VCDS ?


Also this happens after driving in auto light mode and i turn off the engine.... That seems a big problem :cry:
