So basically its same old polo and i have to add extra wires 12v and lin bus? Also is there any other way to tap lin bus except bcm pin 17?iichel wrote: Sun Mar 14, 2021 11:32 am No, it is very different and you need to make sure your BCM is part number 6C0 937 089 or higher.

Re: mfsw on polo 6r
You have to add 3 wires 1 is gnd one is lin bus and 3rd is +vcc you can get ground from airbag loom and work your way with 2 wires through clock spring one to bcm and one +12v from headlight switch

(my polo 6r hasn't MFSW so the old airbag cable don't fit certainly)
I have been looking for this all morning. Please could you tell me the parts number for the airbag that will go into the Polo 6R MSFW with left hand side buttons? As I am looking to fit this. I’m guessing all I will need is the wheel, correct airbag, correct wiring loom and coding?

I think it would be wise to keep yourself to one topic and not kick/create multiple, that way we keep the forum nice and tidy. Please decide what topic you'd like to use and use that one only.
And if your car doesn't have an MFSW from factory, you'll need to add a power and LIN data wire too.
The airbag would be the 5K0880201N or 5K0880201L

So would these airbags not work? 5K0880201H81U, 5K0880201H, 5K0880201F
And that’s great thanks for your advice. Do you know where I could get a power and LIN data wire? I’m clueless, this is all new to me!!

I'm not sure about these parts, they are not listed for Polo 6R but appear to be the correct fitting.

Re: mfsw on polo 6r
Hi, I have a polo 6r without mfsw, I got the steering wheel from a friend from Passat b8 rline 2015. From what I read on this forum, it can be connected, but for the backlight to be, I need to change the bcm. Now the question is for the steering wheel to support the mfa and the radio, you only need to connect two wires from the stalks to the bcm and I have no idea which cubes to plug them in. Thanks for the help
my mfsw:
Steering wheel: 6205489
Steering wheel harness: 5G0971584G
Airbag: 5G0 639964500
Stem: 6Q0 953 500 EJ
Tape: 25284851

you will need the airbag that goes with that steering wheel.
The clips on non msf steering wheel airbag and msfw steering airbag are not the same.
...so you just cant swap out the "loom" on the airbag.

Re: mfsw on polo 6r
Thank you. I think that the airbag change is not needed?
