Go to 19 Canbus Gateway, select Installation List and uncheck 2 Auto Trans. But... did you install your new BCM properly? If you didn't configure the GVL correctly, what else did you (not) do?

Hi Iichel
Thank you for your prompt reply. Sorry I can’t recall everything I set in VCDS. Would it be ok for me to post a VCDS scan of my settings ?

i'm just making sure you didn't just throw in the new BCM without doing any kind of programming. a small mistake is perfectly fine, don't worry!

Re: Auto headlight retrofit. VW Transporter. T5 (2010-2015)
Hi am new here. I am on with putting bi xenon, headlights in t5.1 2015 hi line. I have got the Kufatec and fitted them and coded as instructed but the Drl’s and side lights are not working. I still have the t17 light switch in as it don’t want auto lights is this possible or do I have to switch over to the newer style auto lights switch? I no there is some wiring that needs to be done for the the xenon to stay on when the main beam is put on. That I haven’t done yet as I am waiting for the connectors
Please can someone point me in the right direction thanks

just the long coding and part number of the bcm will be fine for now, if the full scan won't succeed

Re: Auto headlight retrofit. VW Transporter. T5 (2010-2015)
That is a BCM High (087) and you need to adapt a BCM Max (090) for your new Bixenon headlights to work correctly. The BCM Max has the necessary pins for the DRLs and the FRONT parking lights for Bixenon headlights.
It is not necessary to install for automatic lights if it is not your wish. The T17 light switch will also operate your new Bixenon headlights.
Do you have more or infinite questions about it?
If you read this thread patiently, it is possible that you will end up getting your new bi-xenon headlights working correctly.
---
Tip:
Don't forget to do and save a complete Autoscan before disassembling the BCM 087 permanently. You will need it.
Don't worry about the coding, once you have adapted the wiring for the BCM Max and Bixenon headlights, I will code it for you (let me know).

So I need a different Bcm then? Is that correct? If so what code am I looking for when I’m going to buy one? Thanks

Re: Auto headlight retrofit. VW Transporter. T5 (2010-2015)
Some options would be
7H0 937 089x
7H0 937 090x
7E0 397 089x
7E0 937 090x
on the pace of the x, there could be a letter like A, B.... but not all letters work. For the 7H0, an A, C, E etc will be for NAR key frequencies, 315MHz. And other cases can also be influenced.
For the 7E0, this is different. 189x/190x is for NAR. But there, you must be careful with Z index codes, i.e. for LED headlights etc etc.

Re: Auto headlight retrofit. VW Transporter. T5 (2010-2015)
UK = 434MHz
So,
7H0 937 090B will be fine (the donor car doesn't matter).
7E0 937 090C is somewhat better, due to the updated SW and possibility of high beam management.
If the electrical installation is carried out correctly (Bixenon + BCM adaptation), everything is solved with coding (VCDS), adaptations (VCDS), ...and parameterizations if necessary (VCP, ODIS)...
Parameterization is usually necessary if the BCM MAX from donor car did not have xenon or LED headlights from the factory. The position/parking lights PWM value must be increased (20 to 28).
BCM replacement http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.ph ... eplacement
Warning!
The only thing you must keep in mind is that to adapt/match your keys/remotes with VCDS to the new/used BCM, the new/used BCM does not come from a donor car with a keyless entry system (kessy).

(a little help that may help you better understand what you are going to do)Mick yeates1 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 06, 2023 6:40 pm Thanks buddy I’ll get the 7E0 937 090C order and I’ll come back to you if u don’t mind thanks. Your a star
If you are not going to install the automatic lights system and therefore the T17 light switch connector will remain installed....
... the combination of this info,
viewtopic.php?p=520951#p520951
... plus this other info,
viewtopic.php?p=528735#p528735
could be very useful to you.
Logically, structural parts are different (T5.1 vs 6R), but since both are PQ25, the final electrical installation will be practically the same for the new/used BCM Max and the new Bi-xenon headlights.
