Thank you so much for your kind advice and time.

I just made the order for 190B

I will update once I get it and installed.

Thanks for the reminder for the wiring change. I’m currently studying your google documents and trying to re-create the wiring since I read that the harness that you had kindly created were already sold out.

It’s a learning process and I’m not complaining :)

🙏 thanks

Just an update about the status.

I got the new BCM and both of my original 315MHz keys were able to pair successfully.

I'm working on the wiring but my work is taking up most of the time and the weather is also preventing me to work on the car (I have no garage and have to park the car outside).

Thanks a lot for all the advices and will keep you posted

Step by step, circumstances always condition the time and place. https://youtu.be/_rQrkaExnt4?t=3
Thanks for the new update/report, it will be useful for someone in the same situation.

Hi all,

Finally I am successfully finished with the wirings. It is tedious but it is satisfying. I will upload some of the drawings that I did along the way hopefully I could help somebody else.

Now I’m facing a few issues and hope my Gurus here can help me.

1) my car detect the alarm siren but no sound. I changed the siren 2 times (1 from AliExpress -so-called new, 1 from eBay where they said it is fully functional used) both of them not detected by my VCDS.

2) my front fog lights not working. I tried multiple combination of codings that I could find but it is not working. I can get cornering light work (means when I use turn signal, the fog lights on that side light up) but if I pull the light switch, fog light is not on.

3) my highbeam will light if I pull/flash. But it doesn’t on when I push it down.

4) so far right now, I did not install any LED bulbs. They all are halogen bulbs (license plate, parking light, brake light, fog lights etc) but I notice that they are flickering.

Here is my scan

Re: BCM Upgrade and not able to match the key

Post by Hiroki »

Here are some files that I created while I was doing the wiring.

Wiring diagram (from fuse to BCM to light bulbs etc)

I have compiled BCM pinout numbers and their interpretation but it is in excel/pdf but I don’t know how to upload. I know these info can be found on internet but it’s compiled everything into 1 file so hope it will help better.

I also have the VCDS coding interpretations (I tried different language of VCDS versions to compile into complete information) and it is also in excel/pdf.

Please let me know how can I upload them.

Taking a quick look at your posts and without looking at the Autoscan it seems that they are coding problems, I'm on a trip now and I won't be able to take some time to see what's going on in your car until next week.

Nice schemes. 8)

How are you feeding the 'a' inputs of fuses 39 and 59? +30 power is required.

Image

Have you permanently/4ever removed the J331 relay?

Are you sure you have installed the wires in the relay adapters correctly?

Any special reason for a 6R LHD to be in Jamaica?

Can you show us the Auto light switch you are using (pictures of the pins and the Auto light switch already installed)? Ref number?

Who has done the coding of the 'new' 7E0 BCM Max?

Coding.

GW coding is correct as long as it is a 6R LHD 5 doors.

Latest BCM coding posted:
B8904AB868F30700913806F07CEB96D1FFC067FF608D30F1200000030000

New BCM coding: (provisional)
B8904ABF68F32400B33806B07CEB96D15FC0612F608C20D1200000020000

---

In addition to doing the new BCM coding and showing us the result whatever it is, and whenever possible, do the following:

1- https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... drive_link
Post the resulting file (link) here so I can see the BCM adaptation channels values.

2- An autoscan with the old BCM installed... (it is impossible to know the specific equipment installed regarding the central locking without knowing the original factory coding).

---

What the ....?

It's been a while since I did this kind of assistance/support, and just when I do, the communications are absolute rubbish, that is, I have had to make twice the effort for something that already requires a moderate effort...
... my wonderful life is a permanent gift... which keeps alive my hope that at least once something will be 'normal' for me in the unfortunate place where I was accidentally born, ... I don't ask for easy, just 'normal'... 😄

I’m not sure I can still put back the old BCM and start the car to do the scan but I will try it and will let you know.

This is the old BCM coding that I take screenshots before the swab.
