POLO 6R. HEATED SEATS. OEM.
Re: POLO 6R. HEATED SEATS. OEM.
Hi, I’ve got a 2016 6p Ibiza cupra which never came with an option for heated seats, now I know the bcm in my car has the option for heated seats as it’s the same one in the polo 6c plus I can see the option to turn heated seats on in the long coding, but im trying to understand how to wire the loom into my car since it’s different to the 6r which only has 1 fuse whilst the 6c/6p has 3 fuses, is there no looms out there made for the 6c/6p or can you only get one for the 6r an adapt it to make it work for the 6c/6p?

Hi, My Polo doesn’t have this 4 pin connector underneath which came with my wiring kit. What do I need to buy to fix this? Thanks

Thanks. However the cables to this socket do not exist under my seat. I’ve read about a J774 control unit on the wiring diagrams but I don’t think I have this. I seem to be missing a connector from the 2 pin connector coming from the main loom in the dashboard (that connects to the 16 pin relay and the BCM) and the 4 pin connector you’ve shown that connects to the heated seats. My polo is from 2010, could this year have not had them?

Re: POLO 6R. HEATED SEATS. OEM.
Hi guys, sorry to keep bringing this back up but I did a bit more research and apparently my car seats do not have a heated seat relay (according to wiring diagrams E94/E95 heated driver/passenger regulator). How can I go about getting these or is it a case of buying seats with them already in as under my car seats its just the airbag wire and the weight sensor wire. Thanks again.

It is mandatory to do the complete installation using original parts, using even the smallest plastic support to hold the parts. In the diagrams and ETKA you have everything you need, combine both information.
Logically, POLO 6R/6C without factory heated seats do not have any parts related to heated seats, with luck and due to the level of factory equipment (sport seats or leather, for example) there may be some part that can be useful.
For example, Aliexpress can offer generic and correct OEM parts to complete the installation of heated seats for the 6R in a completely correct way, but they do not have to be the exact parts for YOUR specific model, they must be adapted.
I even had to adapt the wiring I bought at Kufatec, which does not mean that the wiring from Kufatec was wrong, it was completely correct.
It is true that other parts from other VW group vehicles 'on the same platform' can be used, but it is highly probable that they will have to be 'adapted' (wiring, connectors, etc.).
In no case is it a so-called 'Plug and Play' installation, but with a little willpower it is possible to achieve it, once you understand how they work, once you get the idea, it's easier than it seems.
In the past, these OEM installations were carried out without even having the ETKA or the diagrams. The so-called 'Yes or Yes' installations.
