I was referring to the software of my 2Q0 camera (MQB MFK 3.0 H16 1302💎). IMHO it is preferable not to be able to switch from TA to ACC with the MFSW buttons, especially with capacitive buttons.

+-+-+-+-+-+-+-
That is the symbol which is not possible in G7.5 AID. and I think not in Passat AID either (same gen).
It's good to have all the options for the endless traffic conditions and infinite driving styles (CCS).

I think it's hard to accidentally touch the TA button on capacitive touch steering wheel.🤔

TA is a wonderful feature. I am testing it, but already impressed with initial tests 👌All assistants go live with touch of a button ❤️

I am so used to CCS in my 6R, that I finally have it in my T-roc too. Old habits die hard

Component protection (CP) removal of 2Q0 A5 camera and new GW.

After upgrading A5 assistant camera from 3Q0 to 2Q0, it was necessary to remove component protection for the camera to work.
With CP active, except HBA nothing works.
I also changed the GW for a very good reason, more about GW later. 🤭
First I approached my contacts for CP removal of both 2Q0 and new GW, but were asking a lot of money for just CP removal.
Later I tried with AliExpress sellers for one time login. Though cheaper, AliExpress sellers wanted double the price and were asking to use ODIS-S 24.1.2 or higher. According to Ali sellers, only GRP login is stable, but need S-24.1 or higher version for GRP login to work now. Only the latest 6154A original or clone sold on AliExpress support S-24.1 or higher versions. Probably lower versions of ODIS-S/6154 also work online, though connection may not be stable. I've heard that VAS5054 no longer works online ?? I am not sure. Looks like VW is tightening screws slowly.
Finally, thanks to the senior technician at my dealership, who helped me to remove CP of both GW and 2Q0 camera absolutely free of charge! as a goodwill.
While returning, I picked up the front door sill plates which I had ordered some time back.👌

As GW is the bus master, once GW is replaced, CP is activated in all the control units having CP.

CP removed at the dealership, hardly took 10 minutes.

It was a super successful visit to my dealership

Remember that humans are primates 🤳 = 🐵...😁... and every human being is unique. So it's not difficult/hard to accidentally press/touch the TA button if you belong to that very high percentage who, without being guilty of absolutely anything, have difficulty paying attention for more than three seconds to anything they are doing, for example when turning the steering wheel. This number increases with the use of the 'smart'phone.
There are even those who would press it consciously and after 0.2 seconds they would no longer remember it or would not know what they had done, and their belief in driving an autonomous vehicle would lead them to catastrophe.
So, from TA to just ACC with 1 press on the MFSW buttons = NO. (IMH🤗)

Congratulations on your latest improvements, they are very exciting and satisfying.👌 Looking forward to the GW surprise.
Thanks for the info.

Ah! yeah... and congratulations also for staying in good sync with your VW dealer, nowadays we have to have friends even in hell.

Where can you activate these menu options?
Would that be in adress 08 HVAC?
If so, which text do I look for?

At the moment I can only see the heated steering wheel level on the AID

You may find it useful to look here:
 viewtopic.php?p=589445#p589445
I have several videos showing the temperature levels for heated MFSW, all of which happened as I progressed through the installation process for the heated steering wheels.

I have the heated steering wheel fitted from factory.
I only want to know where to change the coding so it shows on the infotainment system

I've read your topic page 39 and 40 but can't find it.

I promise that on my pg 39 is the coding.

With so many conspiracy theories and spies everywhere, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a hidden hand behind all this...

Marteen, you can code the steering wheel heating in HVAC 08 address by VCDS as master Ciclo has mentioned or by ODIS-E, I have also shared the 08 address coding for heated steering wheel in my post using ODIS-E here viewtopic.php?p=606540#p606540

I couldn't resist myself but to share the glimpse of one of my finest retrofit!!

Passat/Aerton/Golf Ambient reading light in my T-roc 😎
This ambient reading light is very beautiful and eye pleasing! Should seeee it in person to believe it.. photos simply cannot do justice 😍

It is one my painstakingly difficult, laborious and expensive retrofit. And probably first attempt in T-roc. It is not easy in T-roc, especially with panaromic sunroof and roller curtain. I can't thank enough dear iichel and dear Szymon for helping me source all the parts!🤝❤️🙏
This retrofit in itself deserves a very detailed post especially for T-roc owners who wish to retrofit this ambient reading light. I will write a detailed post at appropriate time.
"Do what makes you happy" ☺️

And.. better late than never, wish you all a wonderful new year ahead 🤗

+1, I already liked it a lot when I saw it installed at Slavik's Golf, now I like it even more. Looking forward to seeing that detailed report.

Log#30

18" OE space saver emergency wheel 5Q0601027BT 03C for my T-roc ( for helix subwoofer).

My T-roc came with full size 16" steel spare wheel from factory. After I installed Helix subwoofer, I had to part ways with spare wheel to make room for helix sub.viewtopic.php?p=595851#p595851
It used to bother me from time to time whether is it worth compromising to drive without spare wheel for better sounding music. Technicians at my dealership and even my dear wife used to frown at me for driving without a spare wheel.. 😂
That bad our road conditions are !! Luckily, not once I had to suffer the inconvenience of getting stranded due to absence of spare wheel.
I wanted to fix this inconvenience once forever for peace of mind. I was always inclined thinking towards buying a bigger spare wheel enough which fits into my spare wheel space and hold the sub inside the tyre well and not on top of it !!🙈

Sometimes you need a better mind, rather a brilliant mind to think out of the box. viewtopic.php?p=604474&sid=c8caa814a74a ... 93#p604474 🙏

Looking at ETKA
Image

I tried to order the 18" spare wheel rim and tyre through my dealership, but for reasons only known to VW, my dealer couldn't place the order. I tried with other VW dealerships too but no success. It's strange that, T-roc 2021 model sold here came with 18" space saver exactly I was looking for, but still dealerships couldn't order even with 2021 MY VIN entered.
Time and again, dear friend Szymon helped me immensely to buy and ship me a almost new 18" space saver. Thank you again Szymon😁
Trivia: Our custom officials couldn't decipher the declared value written by Szymon on package so they sent me a love letter 😂

Just the pictures of installation:

Finally, I can drive my T-roc peacefully now 🚙🎶

My T-ROC got Drive profiles (FPA) now !!! 😎

How does the blue R button on MK8 capacitive touch steering wheel works?
It has two level function. Single press as well as double(long/hard) press.
Single press= activates drive profile menu ( imitates mode button function)
Double press= activates race mode
Video:

I had promised myself that, I will make all buttons of my MK8 touch steering wheel work, I fulfilled that promise.🤭
Race mode is brutal even with half the power of T-roc R.. now I have budget version T-roc R
Details coming soon...
