It's just a personal opinion, but I think this digital instrument cluster suits the Ibiza a bit better in terms of integration with the dashboard.

As alraidy said, the digital cluster looks great on the dashboard of this car but not sure on the Polo 6R/6C with a more traditional/conservative interior.

So, a little update on the AID in my Polo. It worked well for me, and I really enjoyed it. But... after my engine swap to the 2.0 TFSI EA113 (WRC Engine) my cluster went totally crazy. First with Oil Pressure messages, while the actual oil pressure was good. The OEM cluster didn't show any oil pressure warnings at all. The second thing is that from 100 km/u and above the speedometer scaling wasn't correct. It was always 5-10km/u off. And It seems it wasn't possible to adjust it. I'm not sure what caused the cluster to be so far of scaling. But it happened after my 312mm front brakes upgrade. So now I'm back to OEM cluster. I'm brainstorming to do a ColourFIS upgrade like a lot of people do in the MK4 Golf's.

I like it but... my car has overall red accent. Its completely converted to GTI. So I wanna keep the GTI accents, including the red needles. I call it the VW Polo 6R GTI 'Clubsport'. Because its now a rare car, its not a GTI, but also not a R (WRC).

@ciclo , I have a question, I know it's off topic, but I’ve to ask it. Otherwise I'll forget it . I have the 7E0 BCM Max, this BCM has a bit for controlling the newer steering wheels right? Can this BCM also control Golf MK8 steering wheels without a emulator? Or do you need a Emulator for the CC to work?

The engine control unit (ECU) is responsible for managing the direct signals received from the steering wheel with multifunction buttons and cruise control.
This is not the case for 6R (PQ25) ECU/engines.

There are some engines in PQ25 that can manage this type of MFSW with CC (including ACC).
For example, with the Transporter T6 (PQ25) and some of its engines (depending on emissions regulations), a couple of bytes must be set in the BCM (PQ25 - 7H0/7E0/...). Some for the communication type and other/s for ACC (if applicable). Note that some T6 engines, depending on emissions regulations, manage cruise control like the 6R (via stalk-BCM-ECU).

Another example is that, due to the evolution of ECUs and firmware compatibility, in the later years of production of the Russian Polo Sedan (PQ25), MFSW with CC can be installed, just as I explained previously for the T6, without needing CCE. But never from the factory, only retrofitting.


Having said this:
To install MFSW with CC from later generations in the 6R, it is 'mandatory' to have the standard cruise control wiring installed and active (based on PQ25), and to have the 'emulator' installed that manages the signals that were supposedly sent from the stalk but are now actually sent from the new multifunction steering wheel with cruise control (e.g., Golf 7, Golf 8, ...).
Slavik's CCE handles this perfectly on most 6R PQ25 engines (including CDL engine).

Depending on the platform the buttons belong to, it is necessary that the new multifunction buttons with CC are correctly coded 'before installing' according to the functions required for your 6R (DSG, CC, ...).
They can be coded either on a test bench or installed in a vehicle of the same platform as the new buttons.
In some cases, if the new buttons are recognized by VCDS/VCP, they can be coded into the 6R before installing the CCE.
Once the CCE is operational, the diagnosis of the new buttons disappears from the diagnostic without creating any type of conflict or failure.
Note: There are possible variants for the coding and management carried out by the CCE.

I've tried to explain it as clearly as possible without getting into technical details.
It's actually easier than it seems... definitely contact Slavik.
