@2015_polo

Thanks for your help. I will try to do a 'Haynes' for the installation - if I remember

Happy new year.

Before I order, want to check how easy it will be to fit the alloy mount casting as it appears to need to be inserted under the edge of the loosened console. I have removed cupholder and rear torx screw and can lift/bend the lhs of the console enough to give about a 30 - 35 mm gap (not enough from the Aliexpress pics), after that further movement needs releasing 'something else' on the console fixings! Any suggestions?

There should be a couple of torx screws under the gear stick gator try removing them might give you some extra lift failing that there should be torx screws down each side of the console in the foot wells . If it still doesn't give you the lift then you need to take the trim off round the radio and heater controls nd remove the 2 torx from below the heater controls this will allow you to pop the edges if the cup holder bit at the front ...... think you should have enough room with out doing most of that though

Just looked at the pics of the holder it doesn't look that thick you might find it's not much bigger than 35mm

In the pic there are 2 pairs of torx screws, the upper black ones seem to join the lower centre console to the upper part that houses the heater controls. The lower, bright screws only seem to hold the gear change/select 'tower' to the floor.

Can't see how to post pic!!

If you reply to my thread it comes up with a tab that had a square and a paper clip etc click the square and it lets you upload that way and il be as helpful as possible I'm sure it won't be an issue

I do not get what you show on either my Tab S or my Win 10 laptop

All I get is a row of boxes above the text box with:
B i u Quote Code List List= [*] Img URL Font colour youtube

in them. The 'Img' icon just puts the word 'Img' in the text box, so still at a loss regarding inserting pics.

It appears that 'TapaTalk' gives the paperclip + other icons - but the attachment does not show in the posting - just the coding!
