Re: Polo 6r GTI - Bi-Xenon installation Issues

Post by Jym11 »

Hola!

Welcome.
Please communicate in English, it is the only vehicular language in this forum, most of us don't speak Spanish. Thank you!!!
NOTE(lies):
- If you write in Spanish again, I will have to delete your post.

You must properly code the BCM (MAX) for the Bi-xenon headlights to work properly... as long as you've wired them correctly.

Sorry!!
I'm going to write on English but sometimes I will use the translater jejeje.
Ok!
I think the wired is okey because the are 8 pins on the headlights plug as the same as the car's plug.
So, do you think the only thing I have to do is code the BCM?
And, how can I do that? With a diagnostic equipment?
Than you so much for your help!

Well, if you bought non-original bi-xenon headlights, ask the store that sold them to you, they'll know what's going on (or not).
Clue:
- You should consider whether your Europedan 6R has original H4 or H7 headlights, the electrical installation is not the same.

I bought it in Autodoc so I think they aren't original, and in my car I always have H7.
The original headlights are H4?
When i bought it, they included all the bulbs but I don't know if they are H4 or H7.
The problem is that the connector plug in good but when I put on the lights also the high lights are swuitch on too and when I play the indicators they always stay on without flashing.
Do you think that it is a problema on the wired? Or only on the BCM?
Thank you for you help, I don't have idea about this electrical problems.

Could you post a link to the headlights you purchased? Thanks.

I find it very strange that 'AUTODOC' sells headlights that aren't fully electrically compatible with your 2013 6R 1.2 TSI with H7,
even if they're tuning headlights.

I bought this one.
https://m.autodoc.es/hd-karosserieteile/22807709
I think there are the correct one for my car but now when I see the number of the article on Autodoc, there isn't the same number, I bought the article "2206788" but at the momento, Autodoc change this number to another different headlights from a different car.
But I found the number article of the headlights I bought (2206788) on the official page of DIEDERICHS and effectively, there are the headlights that I bought.
Here is the link of the real headlights I bought.

The Headlight Set 'HD Tuning' you purchased should work correctly if they are properly manufactured...

Since these are tuning products, we don't know what modifications they have, so you should contact the store/manufacturer and ask them to provide you with an installation guide with the connector pinouts (which should be identical to the original).

If they don't provide you with the info, RETURN THOSE HEADLIGHTS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!!

iichel wrote: Wed Apr 29, 2020 5:46 pm OK well then I have an idea about what went wrong. You need to do a BCM Max wiring/adaptation:
- Wiring from light switch to BCM
- Wiring from fuse box to BCM
- Wiring from BCM to external lights via fuse box
- Adjust coding/adaptations accordingly
Hello. I'll start by apologizing for my English. I've been searching and following the problems for this retrofit all over the internet and I haven't been able to solve my problem. I found here almost the same situation as mine. Just like my colleague Bakis, I have almost the same problem after the retrofit with KAUFTEC ADAPTOR 10-14. I have two situations and I don't understand anything anymore.

In the first situation (present) with BCM OEM 6R0937087F:
*Additional wire no.0
the KAUFTEC wiring kit, namely the 6 cables (73B<-PIN3,5,6,9,10 and 73A<-PIN5) = I connected them;
*Additional wire no.1
A63+B68 -> permanent plus = I didn't connect them;
*Additional wire no. 2
A2+B2 -> PIN7 relay for lower beam head lamp (cut the wire PIN7) = I did not connect them;
*Additional wire no. 3
A62 -> fuse 34 (braze on-white/green) = I connected it;
*Additional wire no. 4
old B9+B10 -> fuse 54 -> PIN8 on T17 = I did not connect them;
*OEM wire from T17/3 = I disconnected it
The result for the above configuration:
1) Light switch 0 = LED's and high beam not working (just shutters without lights).
2) Light switch "parking lights" = LED's and the high beam not working as well.
3) Light switch "on" = Still LED's off, Xenon light turn on, highbeam work well with lights (Bi-Xenon), and fog cornering work if I signal.
4) Light switch "fog lamps" = Still LED's off, fog light turn on, highbeam work well with lights (Bi-Xenon).

In the second situation with BCM MAX 7E0937090C:
*Additional wire no.0
KAUFTEC wiring kit, respectively the 6 cables (73B<-PIN3,5,6,9,10 and 73A<-PIN5) = I connected them;
*Additional wire no.1
A63+B68 -> plus permanent = I connected them;
*Additional wire no.2
A2+B2 -> PIN7 relay for lower beam head lamp(cut the wire PIN7) = I connected them;
*Additional wire no.3
A62 -> fuse 34 (braze on-white/green) = I connected them;
*Additional wire no. 4
old B9+B10 -> fuse 54 -> PIN8 on T17 = I did not connect them;
*OEM wire from T17/3 = I disconnected it;
*ADD new CAN LINES IC28->73A/54, IC29->73A/57 = I connected them;
For the configuration above it happens like this:
1) Light switch 0 = LED's and high beam not working (just shutters without lights).
2) Light switch "parking lights" = LED's and the high beam not working as well.
3) Light switch "on" = Still LED's off, Xenon light turn on, high beam work well with lights (Bi-Xenon), and fog cornering NOT work.
4) Light switch "fog lamps" = Still LED's off, fog light turn OFF, high beam work well with lights (Bi-Xenon).

I'm waiting with interest. I'm also attaching a scan for the first situation (present - with BCM OEM 6R0937087F) it might help you. If necessary I can reconnect the new BCM MAX and the cables related to the second situation to do a new scan. Thanks in advance!

I don't think your BCM is capable of powering the LED for the bixenon headlights. You'll need 7H0 937 089 minimum (best is 7E0 090)
