Whats the worst modified car in your area??

Post by 16v_po-low »

bout 3 doors down from my g/f's house is a rover 400 with standard everything. but has an alloy rear spoiler and a red underground kit

or the maroon 5dr mk3 fiesta, with an alloy rear spoiler, underground kit, etc red detailing on the dashboard proper rude ting driving it!!

or theres a standard black xr2 with a peugeot 206 rear bumper, where the bumper doesn't line up with the body a piece of mesh has been used to fill the gap!

anybody got any worst ones? i think rugby's got it quite bad with the trevs

There is a Honda Civic Type R with 17 grands worth of ice in it. It belongs to my mate Stuart who owns the car audio shop that inspired him to do that to his car. He sat me in it once closed the doors stepped away and blasted the music from his remote control, while I was still in it. He takes it shows and the like.
I dunno about the technicalities when it comes to such a huge scale but I do know it has a DVD player in the dash and a retractable one coming down from the roof. Also DVD player in the boot. No spare wheel. Self moulded door speakers and a boot full of stuff I can’t even pronounce!
Oh and 2 car batteries in the boot as well.

A Volvo with the whole of PIAA and StreetGlow catalouge. It has chrome painted ( i think its Amerite) arches and the rest of the bodywork is 2 tone red and black, on standard steelies with a hooooge alloy spoiler.

One of my friends has a pink Corsa van...on black steelies!

It used to be a Fast Car project before it was sold on, it was then vandalised and half of it's bits stolen. He bought it because it was cheap and he wanted something comfier than his Nova. He doesn't care it's got steelies or pink paint though, as long as it gets him to work and his girlfriends and back it's OK for him.

The pink is a VW colour and it wasn't his choice, so I'll let him off. :)

seen a rather appaling mk3 fiesta van, white, mk4 rear bumper with like an oval shape cut into it and filled with a bit of chequer plate, the number plate was mounted onto it with 2 horrible red neon washer jets lighting the plate????? i know for a fact its a 1.3 cos i had a run in with him a while back, he's got www.streetracer.com on a sunstrip in the rear window and it's rude to stare on the front sunstrip, will try and put some pics on my mates website and post the address, seriously though if u haven't laughed for a while come to rugby you'll be amazed how little sense these ppl have

I disagree.

There are some awesome cars down southend... but yes, there is some s**t.

I'd have said it was more 60/40 in favour of good cars.

Although saying that, I havent been down there since my Golf last worked which was last Febuary... (infact southend was the last place my golf drove too.. :? )

Not too many bad ones round here it must be said, north/central brum seems to have some decent modifiers (let's see what happens if i ever get round to doing mine up ;) ) .... there was a rover 400, or perhaps it was a honda something orother, i passed last week though. Parked up maybe a couple miles from here. It would have been quite smart, the way they modified it, but something had possessed the owners to try debadging the car and smoothing off the tailgate etc.. and they've made an abysmal hash of it :(

Saw some quite awful wrecks back in Bangor proudly wearing CaerCruiser website transfers tho... e.g. dirty white late-80s fiesta with spoiler, wide (faked?) double tailpipe, lowered suspension on steelies with masses of rust, always in halfords car park with some trevs hanging around... dear oh dear.

3 of 4 - the annoying kid round the corner who always came round with his brother to bother me & my bro in various retarded fashions has got his own car now... old red & black MG Metro that doesn't so much sit parked at the side of the road as lurk. It doesn't seem much different from stock, but tis rusty, and i've seen it once moving with people in, and several times with them standing, looking forlornly at the engine with the bonnet up, probably with dashed hopes of going to the cinema in their heads (or down to Star City to make a nuisance of themselves).

And.... who was it *sent their mother* to inquire in Tyburn Halfords about a gigantic metal spoiler for their Micra when i was in buying my new (lovely JBL :) ) speakers last week?!? Own up, you need a slap!
(and yes, i also took that as a queue to ask the assistant how much they were and whether they would fit a polo hatch, but only as "the most inappropriate thing in the world ever")

i gotta agree southend has some well smart cars, seen a few nice mk1 escorts that were super quick. the funniest cars there are possibly the trevved up uno's of which a friend of my owns, red, smooth boot, bad boy bonnet, 14'' schmidt turbo's, B16 UNO plate, still a high rider though.
Has anyone been to digbeth on a saturday night for the racing? its been stopped now but was full of tasteless cars. I gotta say it my old civic was pretty tasteless with an orange lower half and silver top. but we all make mistakes haha
