Water Pump 6c GTI
I've been quoted over £750 to replace a water pump on a 2015 Gti, by a VW dealer (cough< West London VW >cough)
Is this a difficult job? Does anyone have any alternative recommendations?

Re: Optional Armrest Factory Fit
A lot of the dash fascia and forward cupholders have to come out, because the centre console extends in one piece to the dash and is screwed to it. I don't think it's the same in non GTI models. You need to be able to move the whole thing enough to get the armrest support under it, which is not poss...

Yes, mine does this too, although only at low speeds. Very hard to describe as you say. Mine is also a 65 plate with 22K.

I have a genuine VCDS cable, not too far from Bucks I can code the auto lock/unlock and other tweaks for a small fee.
PM me for further information.

Re: Auto Locking on drive away
My VW dealer have said they don't have the ability to customise functions in this way, only look at fault codes etc. They suggested finding someone with an aftermarket setup. Wow. So - is there any interest in a database of folks who have the stuff, to do stuff? I'm in South Bucks and I want my door...

Auto Locking on drive away
I have a 2016 GTI and I want the doors to auto lock when I drive off.
The stealer has just told me this is not possible if it isn't in my settings already.
Is this true?

Re: GTI Owners; Does your car encourage bad driving behaviour by other drivers?
I'm not sure if it's the car or just an increase in t**tish drivers on the road. The other morning I was driving through a village on the way to work, 30/40 zone all the way through had a 3 series so close I couldn't see his headlights, then as soon as it was clear the other way he went steaming pa...
