Re: GTi brake rear brake disc size?

I've found that EBC list them as 232mm for rear discs and Black Diamond say they are 226mm rear discs :?

Can anyone shed some light as to which size is correct.

Thanks

Re: GTi brake rear brake disc size?

The rear discs are 226mm I think. Thats what Autocar's road test write up has got listed anyway. I can't get at the VW brochure quickly! I have stuck to standard OE discs all round but am using black diamond "predator" brake pads. Cheers Hi Si, That's where I'm getting confused some say t...

GTi brake rear brake disc size?

Hi,

I'm just getting the bits together for doing a rear brake conversion and was wondering what size the GTi 6n2 rear discs are?

Also I'd welcome some recommendations on what brand to choose.

Many thanks

Why didn't you remove the rocker switch from the large mounting plate and fit it in a hole cut in the OEM Polo switch blank? Or just get a smaller rocker switch from Maplin etc and fit in a switch blank? Either of the above would have been a more elegant solution The fogs look a little out of place ...

Mahbs, thanks for the advice. Is the seat heating easy to wire up or is a pain in the ass? Don't think my mate who fit VR6 seats bothered with it in the end. I'm glad you think I got a good deal... I'm driving up to North London from Southampton on Saturday morning to get them so just hope they'll ...

Sounds interesting, they must fit in the 6N2 without alot of hassle too then! Anyone know if the highline leathers are much different? I'm trying to get down to the bottom of the stories I've heard of them being impossible to fit. Highline leathers often have horizontal ribs on the seats so more cu...

Right I see you've got a nice set of Mulberry VR6 Highline leathers a good clean and some leather feed will make them look even better. £235 is a bargain for seats that have no rips or tears and don't forget the fronts are heated too! The facts: I have a set of Black VR6 Highline Mk3 Golf seats- Th...

16v splitters are £43 or so from the main dealers and the GTi one is £46.

The GTi one does need the ends trimming as far as I know and you need to secure it with self tapping screws rather than the OEM clips.

Any progress on this?

I've also got a 1.6 8v 6n and have just bought a 6n2 GTi whole rear axle.

Let me know how you get on as I'm not too far from you in Kent.

Cheers,

If they are alloys fitted from the factory, a VW main dealer will be able to order you a new key based on doing a search on your car to see what was ordered from the factory.

At least they're doing the job that they are meant for well :D

Driver's door priority unlock?

Hi does the GTi have drivers door priority unlock? or can it be programmed in?

(ie. 1st unlock drivers door, second turn or remote press unlocks all doors)

Also does it have the comfort function where if you hold the key in the locked position it closes the windows?

Thanks :?:
