Right, well I have stripped it down to find the main bolt that goes through the tensioner has snapped..... The tensioner is just sort of dingle dangling around, managed to get the bolt out of the block, it has very cleanly snapped off. No sign of twist, or anything like that, it was torqued up to t...

No one will seperate an engine, and all the bits from VW are £650+ so thats not an option!! I will try timing it up, a...

When I got my coilovers on I took it down the very next morning to get the tracking done. It was out by quite a bit. I would suggest getting it done before you make the trip. Would you know if the camber and tracking need to be corrected on all 4 wheels, or just the front 2? there's no adjustment a...

May look slightly negative in the pics, but they're spot on when you look at them in person.
Why do you want no negative camber on the front wheels?

Also the braking contact area of bigger discs have a greater circumference, meaning they turn at less RPM and so generate heat less quickly.
so because the discs are bigger, they turn slower?

Right, cheers

But the G60 280mm upgrade means you can brake later and over shorter distances, erm not really, bigger discs might give you better feel main reason for bigger discs is greater resistance to fading get the standard 256s to even remotely start fading driving on the road is a very difficult task and i...

Cos our cars are wound down so far you cant adjust it anywhere near enough using the standard holes in the shocks. well my camber is fine, and cant be adjusted perfectly well and there is no way your car is as low the camber barely changes as the car gets lower, and as it does, the negative increas...

the bolts do something, that your standard setup can do already.. if you need more adjustment from you current setup, you can use thinner bolts for more movement you should easily be able to dial in 2 degrees with standard setup which is more than enough for track use, and enough to ensure that the ...

You do know

that you just set the camber by how you tighten the bolts on the slotted hole on the standard strut?

rear camber isnt adustable, and front camber is adjustable by how the suspension is attached?

The 9n engine bay will take a 1.8T a LOT more easilly than a 6n/6n2... Just sayin'... JBS start their 1.8T conversions at about £7500 "drive in - drive out" (ie that includes everything). Have a look round Inters next year at all the 1.8T conversions and then go to the JBS stand and have...
