If its totally readable, correct font, not malformed with screws and things, just a slight change in spacing from the format i.e. XX XXXX instead of XXX XXX etc... then I think its crazy and there are far more important rules to be stuck too and inforced
Changing the font is 'wrong' I think, some are very much unreadable. Sticking screws in or malformed letters is 'wrong' also. But normal font with the odd space should be allowed
Just like with tom_mk5's - it is totally readable, in any situation, yet he gets pulled for it?!

Exactly, take this situation for example, if I were to get Gatso'd, would they, or would they not be able to make out my number plate?
